I waited for my father to be done with work, he recently had to start working later due to a new threat. The threat effected the timeline and due to the recent assassins who were assigned this made it a lot more worse. Thankfully the handler was dead due to one of the assassins shooting a bullet through her head which me and my dad took that as a good thing. My father told me that work has been much more peaceful without her.
My dad's real name was Herb and he was an analyst at Commission. He wasn't my biological father but it never bothered me. I was one of the children of the 43 woman who gave birth unexpectedly on October 1st 1989 and now I'm in the world where time doesn't matter except at Commission.
The door swung open, hitting the wall and making a very loud sound. My dad came in with sweat pouring down his face.
"Dad what's wrong?" I ask, whenever he gets nervous he sweats profusely.
"Just a stressful day at work and things are most likely going to get worse." He complained.
"I'm guessing it's about the end of the world again." I say acting like it was a normal thing.
My dad put down his suitcase and took off his coat.
"The family who caused it, time traveled to the 1960's and brought the apocalypse with them again." My dad said, my jaw dropped and my eyes widened.
I was shocked. The end of the world in 2019 is a huge thing and knowing that it all changed is insane.
"How does... What does..." I was completely lost of words. "How are you feeling about all this?" I finally asked a question.
He sighed. "I'm feeling like it's going to be a challenge." He laughed a little.
My dad always knew how to make every situation to be a little better. His spirit was something I've always admired. I've always pictured myself to be a dull person with no happiness and humor but that was mostly just because I have had no one to be myself with except for my dad but I always feel bad for putting even more pressure onto him than he already has. I've been alone like this for 38 years but I've always had to shapeshift into my teenage self so no one try's to recruit me to be an employee for Commission. My dad adopted me when he was only 21 years old. The Handler wanted to adopt me for my power and my dad didn't want her to do that so he adopted me before she could get her hands on me. I've always been thankful for my dad and all that's he's done for me so that's why I try to be as nice as I can to him. With me being alone most of my days I started to talk to my stuffed animals just like a 6 year old.
"I can always help out if you need," I suggested.
"Thank you." He said smiling.
"I know it's hard for you because you don't really agree with what the commission is doing but if you need anything, I'm never busy," My father laughed at my joke, "if things get really bad I can always go into the 60s and help. I know a lot about The Umbrella Academy and I've been training to go into the world for my whole life." I said confidently. It was very true, I've been doing research about the family for about 10 years and have been training. I did the research so I could help my dad with work but as time went on it was almost as if I knew the whole family.
"I know you're powerful and you can protect yourself but I can't have the risk of you dying," he confessed.
I smiled at him. "You don't have to worry about that. If things get worse with Commission I will help you and whatever you think the best decision is at the time, we will do that."
He nodded his head in approval of our plan.
My powers were all something that was based around the mind. I always thought that the mind was the most powerful thing about the body and I used it to my advantage.
1. Shapeshifting: ability to change into anything I want. I could look like a 80 year old man to someone and a 8 year old girl to someone else at the same time. I always shapeshifted into my teenager self, making everyone and myself see it also because it was easier for me.
2. Mind reading: the less intelligent people's minds are easier to read than the intelligent people, if they are intelligent they can tell that something is inside their mind which they can refuse to give but suffer through pain in the process. It can also be painful for myself in the process. The person I want to mind read has to be near me so I can do it.
3. Images: putting images into people's minds and making them see those certain things in real life while other people cant. It could be fears, memories, or anything. Whenever I use these powers my eyes turn purple.
4. Intelligence: I was naturally born with high intelligence and as I learned new things, it stuck with me and it can all help with confusing situations.
5. Thoughts: any thoughts I want people to hear is something that is very easy for me to do, at any distant also. It's like a little voice that echoes in their mind. The voice in their head is anyone of my choosing.
My dad never made me use them for his advantage and once I finally knew how to contain them, it was my decision whether to use them or not.
(AU: Hello, this is the first chapter that I'm ever doing, sorry if there is some spelling mistakes and sorry if things seem confusing. I'm trying my best and I'll try to explain more of what's going on in the next chapter. The next chapter might also be about what's going on in the commission but I promise by the third chapter, I will be getting into more of the Umbrella Academy. I'll also be updating as quickly as possible :).
