Kabir didn't remember afterwards how he got back home, what Aman said to him on the way, what Aman told his family, who were waiting anxiously for him to return, nothing.
He just remembered nodding somewhat at Aman's words, and then locking himself in the tiny balcony-like enclosure in their house. He didn't want to converse with anyone that night.
'I have realized your game, Kabir Mittal, and I refuse to play it.'
What game? What had she realized? Did she think that he was....he was cheating her? Tricking her somehow? But how? What was even going on?
Pooja thought he was the enemy and she was trying to get rid of him by sending him off to Delhi.
He was so stumped by her confession that she planted the papers and she did so to get rid of him....that he just stared at her, he couldn't respond to her, he couldn't argue with her, he couldn't deny her charge, her accusation.
He tried to rearrange all the events since they separated at her lab. What happened, that ended up here, so distant and apart?

"Di, this was our chance to send him to prison, to finish off the Mittal family once and for all, and you just let him go?" Rani exclaimed.
Pooja had just finished telling Rani and Amma what transpired at the police station. Predictably, Rani didn't like Pooja's clemency towards Kabir.
"Rani, the proof against him was slight, he would've gotten out sooner or later. And then he would've become a greater danger, hellbent on taking revenge. By letting him go, I've shown him mercy. Even if he doesn't have the grace to admit that, at least he's not going to try harming us anytime in future, moreover how would he do so, when he's far away in Delhi? And Kabir isn't the only Mittal. Punishing him would instigate Jai and Sonali into acting against us too" said Pooja calmly.
"Jai and Sonali aren't Mittals" said Rani "I mean, they aren't P.K. children's, and Sonali used to tell me how P.K. would often taunt them for living on his money, they disliked him quite as much."
"Not enough to want him dead" said Amma. "They might have hated the taunts but they lived quite comfortably here, and he was still their uncle. Moreover, they do love Dhruv and Kabir, so what Pooja says is quite probable. Dhruv is already on the run, and putting Kabir behind bars, would've certainly aggravated them. I agree with Pooja beta's decision, she took the most appropriate action for the situation. Moreover, separated and splintered as the family is, they wouldn't be a danger to us."
"But Amma.." started Rani.
"But nothing. I've had enough of your bitterness. Rani beta, the real reason you are angry, is because Kabir turned you down all those weeks ago, and not because he is our family enemy. At least be honest enough to admit why you hate him" said Amma, sternly.
Rani opened her mouth to argue that, but she knew that Amma wouldn't be fooled so easily, so she got up, stomped her foot and went off in a huff to her room.
"Rani.." Pooja called out after her.
"Let her be, Pooja. Remember her last tantrum over Kabir, when she refused to talk to you? She saw her fault soon enough. Rani has to learn that one can't have everything in life, especially when it comes to love. Not that I think she loves him, she's just obsessed with him, or was obsessed, now she is just angry at her pride being hurt" said Amma sensibly.
Pooja nodded, and looked at her hands, broodingly.
"Pooja beta, I said I agree with your decision, and I genuinely do, but would you answer my question honestly?" asked Amma.
