Irene closed the door behind her and lean her back on it. She heaved a heavy sigh before dragging her feet to her small living room and plopped her body on the couch. Feeling super exhausted.

She stared at the blank wall as her mind refreshing those moment between her and Taehyung in his car.

" Why he gotta be so nice to me ? ", she mumbled.

Ting !

Irene lazily took out her phone from her tote bag and look at the notification that she just received.

* 1 new message from Jaehyun

She got up from her laid position and sat comfortably on the couch as her finger tap to open the message.

You must be really tired.
You should get some rest.

Everything goes well today.
Jaehyun-sshi, I'm sorry for what happened earlier.
I should've go with you but
Taehyung has been waited for me.
I feel bad if I reject his offer.
But now I feel bad for you too.
I'm sorry.
Next time, you don't have to come and fetch me.
I'll be fine on my own.

I know it's not a right time to say this

Irene repeatedly read his text as her eyes twitch. But what ? She was confused. Irene was about to reply his text but suddenly there was an incoming call from Jaehyun.

Irene took a deep breath before answered the call.

" Eo, Jaehyun-sshi. ", she spoke.

" I like you, Bae Irene. ", he simply said making Irene froze on her seat.
It was a three second of dead silent before Irene came back to her sense after Jaehyun called her name.

" Huh ? I'm sorry. What did you say ? ", she stuttered.

" I'm sorry if I make you feel uncomfortable with my sudden confession but Irene, I can't hide it anymore. I like you. A lot ! ", said Jaehyun.

" Please don't get me wrong. I was truly sincere for helping you before but I came to realised that I really like you. ", he continued.

" I..uh..I don't know what to say. I think this happened just too sudden and I... uhm... Jaehyun. I.. ", Irene was completely at loss of words.

" It's okay, Irene. I won't force you to like me back but I hope you can consider it. ", Jaehyun's voice manage to softened Irene's heart. She smiled and after they talk a little bit more, she end the phone call.

Irene laid on the couch with her phone on her chest. She could felt her cheek was blushing hard as she look up at the ceiling. Her smile faded as soon as she heard Taehyung's deep voice in her head.

" Stop hanging around with Jaehyun. He's not as good as you thought. "

" Ugh whatever Kim Taehyung. You have no right to tell me what to do. ", she groaned before got up and went  to do her night routine before she started doing her untouched homework.

The next morning, Irene walked out of her house, ready to go to school but then her eyes caught a familiar figure was leaning on a car while playing with his phone.

" What is he doing here ? ", she furrowed her eyebrows while staring at the person. Irene averted her gaze when Taehyung look at her direction.

" Irene ", he called.

Irene heaved out a heavy sigh before walked up to him.

" Good morning ", he showed his cute boxy smile. Irene just nodded in return.

" What are you doing here ? ", she asked as she avoiding his eyes.

" To fetch you of course. ", he simply said.

" Taehyung can you stop doing this ? Aren't we agree to- ", just before she could finished her sentence, Taehyung cut her off.

" To ignore each other like a complete stranger ? No, Irene. I've never agreed on that. In fact, I've told you last night that I will come closer to you no matter how much you pushed me away. ", he said in his serious tone.

" Taehyung-sshi, please don't do this to me. I don't want to owe you anything anymore. You've helped me a lot and yes I couldn't settle the payment to you yet but I will soon. Just give me some more time but in the meantime let's just pretend that we never know each other. Please ? ", Irene plead him with a hope that he will agree with her.

" Can you stop talking about the money ? Look, you don't owe me anything, Irene. I want to fix everything and get to know you better. Not as my servant anymore. ", Tehyung held onto her wrist and gave her a reassuring look which made Irene's heart beating like crazy.

' Don't fall to his word, Irene. He might just bullied you again and there's Jennie who will bullied you too if you stay close to him. ', a voice in her head spoke.

" Irene ", a familar voice called her which made both of them turned to
look at the person.

It's Jaehyun.

Irene quickly pulled back her hand from Taehyung's hold. She cleared her throat before greeting Jaehyun with a bright smile on her face. Not sure if it was genuine or fake one.

" Jaehyun-ah ! ", she smiled at him which made Taehyung look at her in disbelief.

" What are you doing here ? ", she asked acting all friendly.

" I was planning to fetch and send you to school but I guess I was a bit late, huh ? ", he said as he glanced at Taehyung who was glaring him.

" Ouh no no ! You just came in a right time. ", she said before walk up to Jaehyun.

" Aren't Taehyung here to fetch you too ? ", he raised one of his eyebrow.

" Huh ? No. He just stopped by. Let's go ! You might be late to school. There must be traffic jam by now. ", she awkwardly smiled to Jaehyun as he just nodded and went to open the door for her.

Irene looked at Taehyung who was just got in his car and drove away in such speed before she get into Jaehyun's car.

The reason why she wanted to distance herself from Taehyung is beacause of the continuous hate that she get from the girls at school and also from Jennie who claimed herself to be Taehyung's girlfriend.

Well, she's not mad anymore about what happened on that day when Jaehyun stole her first kiss because of Taehyung stupid plan. That's not the issue anymore. It's just that she felt frustrated when she got treated like a bad bitch at school and that's too much for her to handle.

She felt exhausted to go through the same shit every single day. People keeps on mocking and bad-mouthing her just because she's closed with Taehyung when she was still his servant. She had it enough.

It's better for her not to get involved with Taehyung. All she wanted to do is to finish her study and get a better job for her to start a new life.

About Jaehyun. Well, she did not exactly know what to do with him. He is nice, kind and everything. She guessed it's okay to hang out with him rather than with Kim Taehyung.

If only she know about who Jung Jaehyun really is...
