Irene has finally recover from her fever and decide to go to school today. After she get ready in her school uniform, she went out with a mindset that she will walked to school today. Unfortunately, there was someone who was already waiting for her.

" Good morning ! ", he greet.

Irene smiled as she walked up to Taehyung who was standing not too far from her.

" I wonder since when you're working as a taxi driver. ", she blurted.

" Excuse me ? Taxi driver ? Me ? ", he scoffed in disbelief. Irene nodded her head.

" Na-ah, I'm not a taxi driver but Bae Irene's personal driver. ", he winked and showed hos boxy smile at her which made her to scrunched her nose, cringed.

" We should get going now if you don't want to be in detention class later. ", she said as she raised her wrist, showed him her watch.

" It kinda feel weird tho. You didn't even refused to ride my car. ", he snorted.

" Okay then ", Irene walked passed by him but Taehyung chuckled before quickly pulled her bag and turned her around to face him.

" I'm just kidding, baeby. ", he said and casually messing up her hair.

" Ah ! Yah Kim Taehyung ! ", she yelled at him before fixing her hair with her fingers.

" Let's go or else both of us will be in detention class. ", he opened the passenger door for her and gesture her to get in.

At school, Jennie just arrived as her driver drop her off at the school main lobby. She caught the sight of Irene getting off from Taehyung's car and  both of them look...happy.

She gritted her teeth as her hands balled into a fist, literally boiling inside.

" What are you waiting for? Let's go. ", said Jisoo while fixing the lace of her backpack.

" You will get it from me. Just you wait. ", she muttered.

" Get what ? ", Jisoo raised one of her eyebrows, looking really clueless.

" I'm not talking to you, idiot. Let's go ! ", she groaned and walked inside the school building, leaving Jisoo behind.

" Yah, Kim Jennie ! ", Jisoo quickly run to catch up with her.

" How did you know what has happened that night ? Were you there too ? ", asked Irene as they walked through the hallway.

" Nope. I asked someone to be my eyes and look after you for me. I told you, didn't I ? That bastard can't be trusted. ", he said as he glanced at Irene.

" I should've listened to you since you know him more than I do. I'm such an idiot, right ? ", she sighed.

" Yeah, you are. ", he shook his head.

" You should've said ' No, you're not idiot. It just that you can't even trust a guy like me who used to bully you. ' ", she tried to imitate Taehyung's deep voice. Taehyung chuckled at Irene's cute behavior.

" Fine. Fine. ", Taehyung playfully rolled his eyes.

" So, what actually happened that night after you get me out of the pool because I'm pretty sure you won't let Jaehyun off just like that. ", she spoke.

" You really want to know ? ", Taehyung raised one of his eyebrows.

" Of course if not I wouldn't ask. ", Irene make a face at him.

" Well, I think he might be in the hospital right now. ", he simply said.

" What ? Hospital ? Did you guys faught with each other ? ", she frowned.

" Nah. We just gave him a well deserve punch accross his perfect face and a hard kick on his belly. ", he said as he slid his hand inside his pocket pant.

" You did what ?! ", her eyes widened, literally shocked.

" Isn't that what he deserved after what he has done to you ? ", Taehyung furrowed his eyebrows.

" But- ", Taehyung put his on Irene's shoulder as he bend down a bit to reach her level and had his eyes locked with hers.

" I know what are you going to say, Irene. Look, he almost killed you that night and you expect me to let him off just like that without making him pay for wahetever he did to you ? To be honest, punch and kick wasn't enough for him compare to what he did to you but I gave him a chance to stay alive. He should be thankful and grateful for that, you know. ", he said.

" Now, I want you to stop worrying about people who don't deserve your attention. Although he used to be so kind towards you but trust me, it was just a part of his plan. He is a jerk. Keep that in mind, hmm ? ", Taehyung straightened his back and casually caressed Irene's head.

Taehyung was about to walk away but  Irene pulled his sleeve which make him turned to look at her.

" Thank you. ", she beamed a smile at him.

" Let's go. ", Taehyung held her hand and pull her with him.

Irene could feel that people were looking at her but it was weird how she does not feel bothered at all.

As soon as they reach their class, Taehyung's friend greet them.

" Wow ! Are you guys dating now ? ", Hoseok, being the loudest one, grab everyone's attention.

Taehyung and Irene looked at each other before their eyes slowly look down at their hands.

" Oh ", they quickly let go of each other's hand.

" That's not like what you guys thinking. We- ", Irene was about to explained when Taehyung casually hug her shoulder and pulled her closer to him which caught Irene off guard.

" We are in progress. ", he said.

" Huh ? ", Irene looked up to him who was smirking at his friends.

" No wonder you smack my head that day, you lil rascal. ", Jin looked at him in disbelief.

" Well, we should protect something that we love before someone trying to snatch it away from us, right ? ", he turned to look at Irene and caressed her head.

" You're right. Irene, if Taehyung mistreated you or did something that hurt you, please let me know. I will gladly take you far away from him. ", said Jin, smirked.

Irene was still couldn't process what was happening at the moment so all she could do was to smile awkwardly.

" Aww you're so sweet but I will never gonna let that happen. ", Taehyung stuck out his tongue at Jin.

" Aha ! Try me ! ", Jin talked back.

Others could just laughed at their nonsense argument meanwhile Irene was thinking where is the best place for her to hide her face from embarrassment.
