Kayla's P.O.V
The ride was mostly quiet to the park.
Spencer and I walked up to two rangers and introduced ourselves. Reid, or course, only waving.
"Why haven't they added any security cameras on the park?" One ranger asked.
"They claim they don't have the money but I think they could make an exception when women are being killed." the other ranger said.
"Money or not, putting up cameras would cause the un-sub to freak out. He would feel he couldn't dump bodies anymore and he would stop because this is the only place he will dump them." I said.
"Well couldn't that stop him." The ranger said
"Yes but then we would have nothing else to go off to find him and he would get away." Reid answered.
"So what, more women have to die for some families to find peace, doctor. You agents come in here acting like you know what you are doing but you dont care about other families. Look at you, you look 13 years old, there is no way you know what your doing." the ranger snapped angrily. Reid stepped back looking nervous after she snapped at him. I couldn't help but feel bad.
"Not only could putting up cameras stop him, but they could aggravate him and send him into a rage or killing spree. then even more women would die and we would have no way of knowing if its the same guy killing them. They would be killed brutally and would not have 2 months. But, right now if this guy takes another girl. We will have 2 months to crack the case. Sure, its not great but its better then tons of women getting slaughtered. Don't believe me, why dont we give it a try. Bring in the cameras and see what happens, see how many people get shot or stabbed. Or we could think ahead. Don't judge our decisions dealing with behavior, its our job we know what we are doing. And for lack of better words, you are a ranger. I'm sure you do your job wonderfully, but don't make blanket statements about a case you know nothing about or agents you know nothing about. This agent you just called young went to highschool at 12 and had three phds by the age of 24. So yes he's young but more qualified then you or I will ever be. Now please let us through so we can stop a man from killing more people." I said sternly. The ranger looked stunned, but i simply raised my eyebrows and she move out of the way. Reid shuffled behind me and whispered "Thankyou" in my ear. His hot breath hit my neck and set a trickle down my spine.
"dang it, im already sticking up for this guy. " I thought
"Of course, im not letting some woman disrespect a genius like you." I smiled. He smiled, still obviously shocked by what just happend.
" Okay let's figure this guy out." I said walking into the park.
"Okay." Spencer agreed.
