Spencer's P.O.V

"Kayla?" I said.

No response.

I felt her head leaned back on my shoulder and the rest of her back slumped into mine. I grabbed at her fingers, as our hands were tied together.

"Kayla??" This time I lightly moved my shoulder. Nothing.

"What the hell did you do to her?" I asked the un-sub.

"Oh, she'll wake up in time for the fun don't worry. We'll wait. " the man chuckled.

Then I felt a slight tug on my fingers and a little pressure down on my shoulder coming from Kayla. She was awake. Oh... she was pretending to be asleep because she knew the man would wait to hurt us until we could both feel pain.

About an hour passed. Kayla hadn't moved. Every once in a while she would apply a little pressure to my shoulder and fingers, letting me know she was there.

"ITS BEEN TOO LONG! SHE MUST WAKEUP....BEFORE THE POLICE GET HERE!" The man shouted.

The thing was the FBI would be here. This idiot let all those people go, they would go get help obviously someone would. Even if they hadn't, our team would notice us missing and they know where we are. Kayla and I profiled what was happening, the team would too.

The man reached for a bucket and walked over to the sink behind the bar, filling it with cold water. He grabbed another bucket and filled it with hot water.

"SHE WILL WAKE TO THIS!" the man screamed walking towards her. He grabbed the bucket of cold water and dumped it on her, she didn't flinch. She squeezed my fingers though. I held her hand now tightly. I knew this was just the start, but the longer we stalled, the more likely the team would figure out how to get in here. We just needed to stay alive and not anger the man.

The man then grabbed the hot water dumping it on Kayla. Her hand tightened around mine, but she didn't move. I don't know how. The cold to hot change sent stings down me and I only had the water on my back. Kayla had it everywhere. C'mon Kayla, just stick with it.

Kayla's pov.

The sensation stung on my skin, but I fought through. I wasn't letting either of us die today.

"Is she dead?" Reid asked. I hoped he knew I was alive. I hope my movements weren't to gentle. He was most likely just messing with the un-sub and tricking him.

"I don't know. I guess so." The man said running to behind the counter. Oh no, he grabbed the emergency crash cart. If he used that on me, I could very much die from the heart stopping.

"No, don't use that. If she's not dead that will kill her. " Reid said.

"ahah, I knew she was alive." The man said cheerfully.

Spencer's pov

He took and empty bear bottle and cracked it over Kayla's head. She still stayed still. He took on piece of glass and i heard the sound of him digging into her skin and dragging. Her breath hitched.

"open your eyes damnt!!!! or i kill your little friend." The man yelled. Immediately she sat up.

"Ok, ok I'm here" she said. She didn't do that to give into pain, she did that to protect me. Oh God.

The man then untied Kayla's hands from mine. He held her completely still and brought her to a pole across from my vision. I could see her cut forehead and the gash from the glass on her upper arm. It wasn't as big as I thought, but still looked painful.

"You are quite pretty." The man said, sitting behind kayla and brushing her hair to one shoulder. He kissed her neck and she winced.

"Dont you dare." I snarled. The man just smiled no flipping his way to sit on her legs in front of her. He began to unbutton her shirt. Kayla peaked her head around him and gave me a sheepish pain filled smile and wink. Suddenly she wrapped her legs around his causing him to lean back. She then took the time to slam her head write into his neck. As he gasped for air he reached for her, but I was able to kick him the back. He stood up to face me, hitting me across the face. I winced and Kayla yelled causing the man to turn around. She then kicked him hard with her heel right in the lower stomach. The man topple over and Kayla began to try to free loose the knot. It was to late though. The man grabbed Kayla's ankles. She jostled and kicked but he held her down. Throwing a fist across her face, she whimpered. I couldn't just sit and watch. I worked at the ties, nothing. The man cut Kayla loose and grabbed her, holding the same glass bottle to her throat.

"Please god don't." I pleaded. Tears welled in my eyes. " I need her." I cried.

Tears fell down Kayla's cheeks.

"Kayla,  please hold on." I said. The man repositioned himself when suddenly a loud gun shot filled the room knocking the two down.

"KAYLA!!!" I screamed.

I saw the bullet wound through the mans head.

"I am okay." she said. "Just get him off me."

Suddenly hotch who had fired the gun came and rolled the man off of Kayla. Blood and tears streamed down her face and she fell into Hotch's arms. He held her close. Morgan began to untie me and I quickly stood up walking towards Kayla. Morgan and Hotch began to walk away.

Before I could say anything, Kayla pulled me into a hug. Sighing into my chest. I wrapped my arms around her and held her closely.

"I am so sorry. I should have done more." I said.

"No. You did what was possible Spence. I am okay." she said.

I pulled back and looked at her face. There was a gash on the top right, a bad bruise forming on her cheek, and a couple fingernail scratches on her cheek. I touched her gently and she lightly whined. I wrapped my arm around her and lead her out of the pub to an ambulance. Luckily we were both just banged and scratched up. I walked over to the ambulance where Kayla sat wrapped in a blanket talking with Hotch.

"At least 3 days off. BOTH of you." Hotch said. We both rolled our eyes and I sat next to Kayla. She held an ice bag to her head, but pet readjusting her arm. She was probably uncomfortable from holding it up for so long.

"May I?" I asked.

"I couldnt let you-" she started.

"please."

"okayyy"

I grabbed a pillow from behind me and set it on my lap. I helped Kayla rest her head on it. Then I held the ice pack on her bruise. Kayla nozzles into me and wrapped her hands around my knee area.

We sat like that for a while until she spoke.

"Hey you need an icey too." She said beginning to sit up, I gently pushed her shoulder down.

"Go to sleep." I didn't get a response, just a simple silence showing me she fell asleep.I ran my fingers through her soft hair I then leaned against the wall and fell asleep.
