*a week later*
I opened my eyes slowly and turned my head to look out the hospital window. I’ve been here for a week and my wound has gotten slightly better. Alli went back home and my friends were at school. I didn’t feel like writing at the moment. I sat up slowly so a sharp pain wouldn’t surge through my body and I grabbed my phone. I saw that Alli had messaged me and I smiled slightly. I grabbed my earbuds from the bedside table, plugged them in and started pandora.
“Ah music…a good way to drown out the silence.” I thought out loud as I opened Alli’s text.
‘Morning!’
‘Hey Alli.’
‘Feeling better?’
‘Barely. Wait aren’t you at school?’
‘Substitute. The old guy is asleep in his chair.’
‘How old is the sub to be asleep when he’s supposed to be teaching?’
‘About eighty.’
‘Eighty!? Why isn’t he retired?’
‘He said that he would rather die ._.’
‘Oh…’
‘So…wanna RP?’
‘Sure. You start.’ I replied. We then went back and forth for the next forty minutes till she had to go. I shut my phone off and began to get into the wheelchair next to my bed. After struggling with it I finally made it with only a small bit of pain. I wheeled out of my room and right as I got past the threshold I heard my nurses voice.
“Oh not again…” She said and I sighed.
“I just want some coffee!” I said in an annoyed tone and she shook her head.
“How many times do I have to say this. If you want anything you press the button and I will come to the room.” She said as she turned me around.
“I know I know but I just want to get it myself.” I said as she wheeled me to the side of the bed. I got back in the bed and pulled the covers over me.
“I’ll be back with breakfast and your coffee.” She said as she left. I sighed and hit my head on the backboard until she got back. I thanked her and she left.
“I got to get out of here. I hate being here.” I said and I started to eat.

After hours of being bored to death my friends came in.
“Finally! Now I won’t die of boredom!” I thought out loud. Once I realized what I said I froze.
“Are you starting to go insane?” Ryan asked. I shook my head and sighed. I tensed up when I saw Scott.
“Oh god why is he here?” I asked and gestured to Scott.
“Hey I’m not here because I want to be. Amanda made me drive them here to see you and I’m not allowed to leave without them.” He said and I rolled my eyes. They each took a seat but it resulted in some of my friends sitting on someones lap. The next few hours I texted with Alli occasionally while I talked with everyone else and they messed around. The whole time Scott kept glaring at me when I looked at him. I still don’t understand why he hates me. I mean he stabbed me and I’ve been keeping it a secret. My mom came in around 8:00 P.M. to let them know that visiting hours will be over soon. I looked at Scott when she left and I saw the wheels in his mind turning.
“Hey uh…do you think one of you could stay here tonight?” I asked and they all looked at each other. After a few minutes it resulted in Ryan staying. I was glad because I felt like Scott was going to pay me a visit later. At least with Ryan here I’ll have either a witness or a bodyguard.
Later that night it was about 1:00A.M. and Ryan had passed out. I had turned the tv off and the hospital became silent except for the faint sound of chatter from the nurses down the hall and the beeping from the heart monitor. At the position that my bed is in I can see down the hall and almost to the elevators. The stairwell is also down that way. I watched down the hall and right as the two nurses that were down the hall turned the corner…
…I saw a shady figure heading towards the room.
