I slowly made my way over to the table as I held my arm. I sat down and I caught my breath. I started to feel less lightheaded and my arm slowly gained feeling. I took my hand off the wound and saw that it wasn’t bleeding anymore. I looked at my tortured mind to see one of her arms mutilated. She then started to speak.

“You let that beast hurt you.” She said. My brain started to hurt slightly. I felt hungry.

“Remember…if I fall apart you die…you must get through this.” She said I sighed.

“I tried not to let it hurt me…those tentacles were going everywhere.” I said. I looked her over and noticed that she looked like she had gotten out of a pool of blood with splatters all over her.

“Here there are rooms that are havens…when you get to them you can rest. You have to get lead their… But if you spend to long in there…you will pay the price.” And with that she faded away. I heard a click come from the door on the other side of the room. I got up from the chair and went over to the door. I grabbed the knob, turned it and opened it slowly as I heard the squeak of rusted metal. When the door opened I walked into the room and when I did the door swung shut behind me.

I was in a forest. I looked around and my eyes landed on the dog from earlier sitting down a few feet away. I stared at me and a confused look grew on my face. It motioned with his head to follow him…and I did. We walked through the forest for what felt like hours and eventually made it to what looked like a camp. The dog sat down in front of me facing me. After a minute it ran way into the forest. I looked back at the camp to see food, water, a medical kit and a sleeping bag with a small fire next to it.

“This is…one of those havens…” I said and I laughed slightly. I walked over, still holding my arm, and knelt down by the medical kit. I took care of the large cut on my arm, ate till I was full and passed out on the sleeping bag.

I woke up with the sound of a low humming. I looked around to see that I was no longer in the sleeping bag. The fire pit was still there with a light blue backpack in the middle of it. I got up and picked it up. When I opened it there was note inside. I started to read it.

‘Get out of here quick or suffer a painful death. It’s coming for you…do you hear that humming getting lauder and deeper? You better find a way out soon. ~a friend’ After reading it the humming got louder and deeper, I also saw some glowing red eyes in the bushes. I grabbed the box of ammo inside of the backpack, reloaded my gun, put the box back into the backpack and I ran. As I ran the humming got louder and deeper, it started to hurt my ears.

I ran for a few more minutes and I saw an oak door just twenty feet away. I looked behind me to see the eyes were closer. I looked forward as the humming got to the point where it was almost crippling. I got to the door, swung it open, ran in, slammed the door shut and the humming stopped. I caught my breath after a minute.

“Do you wanna play?” I heard a voice that sounded like a mix of a little girls and a demons say slowly.

I got my gun ready…and turned around.
