I ran as It roared. It hurts my ears but I kept running. It’s tentacles kept slicing the stalactites  above me and tried to get them to crush me. My lungs burned like they did when I ran through the burning hospital. I felt a burning sensation in my left arm then it went numb. I looked at it and I saw blood coming out from the large cut in my arm. It seemed that the tip of one of the razor sharp tentacles got me. My left arm flopped around as blood went down it and went every where. I grabbed my arm so  it wouldn’t get chopped of at any point. I looked forward and yelped as I saw a stalactite cashed in front of me.

I quickly ran around it and I saw a small silver sliver in the distance. A door! At least I hopped. I looked back after I heard another ear piercing roar. I then remembered my gun. It was probably waterlogged but I probably needed it. The beast was closer and was gaining fast as I felt light headed. I grabbed the gun with my available arm that wasn’t gushing blood at the moment and pulled it out the back of my pants. I then turned around and aimed at the beast.

I shot…and the beast screeched. When I shot the bullet I saw, for a slight second, a faint white light but it disappeared after a few feet. I saw a thick black liquid come from the beasts eye. I shot until the bullets ran out and each time it screech louder and louder and I felt my ears bleed. It went down and I felt the cave shake. I knew that If I didn’t each that door I would either be trapped her or I would die.

I raced to the door and the cave started to collapse. I ran and ran as the tunnel vision you get from when you are about to pass out set in. I ran and ran as the door got closer and closer along with my field of vision getting thinner. I reached for the handle, turned it with my remaining strength and opened the door. I ran in, slammed the door and all the noise from the cave disappeared. I heard the whispers return and I quickly searched. I knew that it was futile but I couldn’t give in.

I eventually found a switch. I flipped it and I looked back to see a table with my tortured mind sitting at the other end.
