Chapter 14

~~a battle with a champion~~

Ash and misty reached at the Pewter city.
" Ash there is the gym." Misty said pointing towards the gym.
" Ok so lets go." Ash said.
The gym was covered with rocks and was a perfect way to describe that it was a rock type gym.
Ash entered to battle the gym.
" Hey! Is anyone inside?" He shouted.
A man came out with spiked dark brown hair.
" Yes. What do you want?" He asked.
" I am ash Ketchum from pallet town and I am here to challenge the gym." Ash said.
The gym leader looked at Ash and scoffed.
" With this Pikachu?" He asked.
Ash felt irked.
" Yes now will you please battle me." Ash said.
" Ok kid. But don't blame me if anything happened to Pikachu." The gym leader said.
Pikachu scowled at him.
" Calm down buddy we will see him in match." Ash said in a calm voice.
" Brock there is some challenger for you."
The man said.

" Ok dad!" Brock shouted.
He came in the field.

" A kid with a pikachu." Brock mumbled.
" Oh so he is the gym leader. I thought you are." Ash said pointing towards the man.
" I am Flint. Father of Brock." He said.
" I will referee the match." Flint said.
Brock nodded.

" He is full of pride." Ash commented.
Brock looked at him.
" This is an official 2 on 2 battle between the gym leader Brock and the challenger Ash Ketchum. Only challenger can substitute the Pokemon." Flint said.
" Trainers send out your Pokemon." He completed.

" Geodude stand for the battle." Brock said.
" Pikachu I choose you." Ash said.
Pikachu jumped off Ash's shoulder.

" Geodude start with rollout." Brock said.
" Pikachu run around with quick attack and then use iron tail." Ash said.

Pikachu did as he was commanded. And then his tail glowed silver and he hit geodude with iron tail stopping him.
" Don't let it recover. Thunderbolt." Ash said.
" Dodge it!" Brock yelled but too late.
Pikachu fired the thunderbolt leaving him paralyzed.

He then went a bit back.
" Now end this with volt tackle." Ash said.

Pikachu ended the battle with a volt tackle.
Brock was shocked. This boy didn't even gave him a chance to attack. And speed was just marvelous.
Flint was shocked too. Finally misty poked him to bring him back from his trance.
" What? Oh! Geodude is not able to battle. Pikachu wins." Flint said.
" Gym leader send your next Pokemon." He said.
" Return geodude you did great. Onix you are up next." Brock said sending an onix.
" I will stick with Pikachu." Ash said.

" Ok onix that pikachu is no joke. We have to win this." Brock said.
Onix looked at mouse and gave a loud roar.
But pikachu didn't even stumbled.
" Ok Pikachu let's show them our true power." Ash said.
" Pikachu start with quick attack." Ash said.
Pikachu started encircling around the onix.
Onix was trying to locate him.
" Onix iron tail." Brock said.
Onix slammed his tail on ground creating some rocks to rise.
" Nice trick Brock but not gonna work." Ash said.
" Pikachu quick climb on the rocks and then iron tail on the onix's head." Ash said.

Pikachu did that and slammed an iron tail. Onix grumbled.
" Now Pikachu repeat the iron tail and then end with thunder." Ash said.

Pikachu did what was told. Onix was grunting in pain.
Pikachu then finally ended with a strong thunder.
Brock stood their silent.
He was now quite shocked. As how quickly this boy with Pikachu defeated him.
Onix now laid on ground with swirls in his eyes.
" Onix is unable to battle. Pikachu wins challenger wins the match." Flint said.
