Chapter 16

~~the dream to follow~~

Kiara finally looked at him and decided to tell him.
" I don't think so ash I would be able to come with you. I won't be able to fulfill my promise." She said nearly in tears.
" But why Kiara?" Ash asked politely.
" Ash it's not possible. How can I fulfill my dreams when my only duty is to make this kingdom happy. I have responsibility to look after this kingdom. I am the princess and I have to fulfill my duty." She said.
" But your sister is here and till the time she is able to handle the kingdom you can cherish your dreams. I know you love to battle but by staying at palace you won't be able to do that. I know how much you love exploring places but you won't be able to do in the palace." Ash said.
" I know ash but before my dreams my duty is there. Duty is more important than dreams. I can't show my back to it and run towards my dream." Kiara said.

' no Kiara your duty is not just limited to the palace. You are Arceus' chosen one and my companion. You are chosen to help me in protecting the world. It's your biggest duty and for this duty you have to follow your dream first.'
Ash thought.

" Kiara look at me." He said.
" Kiara every one has the right to choose their dreams. And you also. I know you think that your duty is this kingdom. But sometimes we don't know what our actual duty is. And we can only find that by pursuing our dreams. You don't know why you are created by lord. Every creation of lord has a specific role to play in this planet. Be it a Pokemon or a human. You also have much bigger goals and duties rather than this kingdom. Your sister is here to handle the kingdom so why are you stopping yourself to dream." He said.

" But I can't talk to her about this." Kiara replied in a slow tone.
" She will never agree to this." She again said.
" Unless you don't try you can't say." Ash said.
She looked at him.
" Always remember. I am with you." He said looking at her.
Kiara was a bit shocked.
" Ash are you sure?" She asked.
" Yep! Now let's talk to your sister." Ash said and held her hand and again their hands glowed. He then started walking along with Kiara.

On the other hand. Ilene went to Kiara's room.
" Where is Kiara?" She thought to herself.
As she stepped out of the room she saw misty and Brock.
" What are you two doing here?" Ilene asked.
" Good morning queen. We are searching for ash." Brock said.
" What? Ash is also missing? Even Kiara is not in her room." Ilene said.
Misty joined the dots.
" Maybe they are out together!" She said.
" But Kiara is not allowed to leave the palace without my permission." Ilene said with a frown.

" Queen Ilene this is strictly against your will and for this Kiara must be punished." Liam said coming behind her.
Misty and Brock were shocked.
" But they just went out." Brock said to reason Kiara.
" And this is not allowed." Liam snapped back.

A maid came there.
" Long live queen! Queen ash and princess Kiara are waiting for you in the court room." She said.
Ilene nodded her head.
" I just don't know what got into Kiara?" Ilene said disappointed.

Finally Ilene, Brock, Misty and Liam reached there.
" Kiara where were you? And what kind of behaviour is this?" Ilene asked.
" Kiara was with me." Ash said.
" She didn't ask you Mr. Ketchum so please." Liam said.

" Sister I went with ash." Kiara spoke.
" Where?" Ilene asked.
" Tell the truth Kiara. I am here. Believe me." Ash said in whispers and held her hand. Their hands glowed again but no one noticed.
Kiara took a deep breath.
" To practice." She said.
" Practice! For what?" Ilene asked shocked.
" To become the best trainer and win a league and be a champion." She said in a go.
" What!" Ilene said in shock.
" Are you even in your sense!" Ilene said raising her voice. Liam smirked.
Kiara shivered but ash squeezed her hand a bit to assure her.
" Yes sister. I want to be a champion. And for that I used to train since I was five. Last time ash visited he taught me to dream. And this time he came to take me along with him to fulfill my dream."
Kiara said.
" Your only dream, only duty is this kingdom. You have to think for the kingdom as a princess." Ilene said in a loud tone.
" That's what you think queen. She has the right to dream and then fulfill it." Ash said.
" You are no one to speak here." Liam said in an angry tone.
" Oh so that you can instigate the fight?" Ash said.
The colour of Liam's face faded.
" What do you mean why would I want them to fight." Liam said.
" Ok so tell me didn't you know that Kiara used to go to practice to forest every day?" Ash said. Everyone gasped.
" But still you didn't tell the queen. You waited for the moment that Kiara gains her confidence and is so involved in her dream that she herself ask her sister to let her go. And at that time you can make them fight." Ash said.
Kiara and queen were shocked.
" What are you saying kid? I will never do such things." Liam said in anger.
" Lie to someone else not me. I know each and every thing." Ash roared.
" Just ask him queen. He knew Kiara used to go to practice everyday. But he never told you. He waited for a right time. When Kiara would ask you and you would say no. And then he would make Kiara rebellious towards you saying that you don't care about her. And not just this he would also instigate you against her. Just to get this kingdom and throne." Ash said.
Misty and Brock looked shocked.
" I.. I could never do s..such things." Liam shuttered.
He then ran towards the door.
" Pikachu thunderbolt." Ash said.
Pikachu fired a thunderbolt at the feet of Liam stopping him.
" Don't try to run Liam." Ash said.
" Lucario hold him." Ash said taking out his lucario.
Ilene was shocked seeing her most trusted minister doing all these things.

" I. I couldn't believe he did all this." Queen whispered.
" You can't change what happened in past but you can change what is going in present. Take a wise decision queen. Kiara wants to pursue her dream let her do this." Ash said.
Queen looked at Kiara who was standing there looking at her.
Ash too was holding her hand. But she frowned a bit when she saw it glowing. She decided to take a mental note.

She smiled a bit and nodded.
A huge smile broke on kiara's face.
" Thanks sister." Kiara said.
" No problem dear. I am sorry. I always gave you burden on the name of responsibility. I must have asked your wish." Ilene said.
" Thankyou ash thank you so much." Ilene said.
" Liam I just don't know what I shall do to you. Today you will go in prison and tomorrow the authorities will take the decision for your deeds." Ilene said.
Liam looked down and was taken to the prison by two soldiers.

" Sister I want my pokedex and then I can start my journey." Kiara said.
" You will recieve it today only. Lemme call the royal authority and then we can give the pokedex as well as your first Pokemon." Ilene said.

" Then let's go shopping till then. Since you are going on a journey I don't think so you could carry out with your these royal gowns." Misty said chuckling.
" For sure misty." Kiara said smiling.

Both the girls decided to go to shopping till the royal authorities arrives.

They were seeing the dresses which Kiara could wear.
Finally they got a white crop top along with a navy blue jeans and a brown pair of high boots.
Also with that kiara decided to wear a blue baseball cap and gloves just like ash.
As they arrived at the court everyone was shocked to see her new form.
Especially ash.
She was totally looking stunning. Her brown hairs reaching till her waist along with her hazel eyes. Everything was a proper match.

" You are looking cute my lil sister." Ilene said.
Kiara smiled back.
" Ok so kiara here is you pokedex. And here is the choice of your first official pokemon." Ilene said.
And there comes the starters of kanto region.
" I want to choose charmander." Kiara said. Ash smiled.
" Now that's good. Here is your pokeball. And all the other five Pokemons which you hid from me have been transferred to your pokedex." She said smiling.
Kiara looked at her in shock and then glanced ash who nodded.
Now Kiara got to know that ash might have called them over here.
She smiled and hugged her sister.
" And being a royalty you are given a pokedex which allows you to carry unlimited Pokemon." Ilene said while hugging her
" I don't think so it's true." Kiara said.
Ilene chuckled. She then whispered in her ears.
" Absolutely not. In reality I don't know how but Ash got you this pokedex. I must say he has a high approach." Ilene said as Ash didn't want this to go out so he thought of giving the name of royalties.
" Ok sister." Kiara whispered back.
And then broke the hug.

On the other hand.
" I wonder what they are whispering?" Misty said.
" Even me." Brock said.
" Umm it's their family matter." Ash replied with a nervous smile.

Ilene then came close to Ash.
" Ash thank you for what a you did. And please take care of my sister." She said.
" For sure your highness." He said.
Kiara smiled but she also felt some other strange feelings which she was not able to figure out.

" Let us take your leave." Ash said.
And Ash and Kiara sat on Charizard.
Misty sat on pidgeot and Brock on talonflame.
Ilene nodded and they flew back to the forest between Pewter city and Mount moon.
