"Cyra, wake up!" Tyler's voice boomed through my ear, making me jump from the bed and causing me to violently roll off of it as well. "Damn it, Tyler..! Don't be so loud.." I groggily replied to him, yawning while rubbing my eyes.

"Cyra, it's 5:30 AM in the morning, and the alarm didn't even wake you up..!" "Wait, it didn't?" I perked up to what Tyler had said, but he only responded with a groan.

"Anyway, get your ass up and prepare yourself. You're going to Luna's place, remember?" My mind soon went to full gear the moment he told me that.

"Oh right! Thanks for mentioning it, Tyler!" I soon got up and rushed to the bathroom, the towel in my hands after ruffling through the closet for a short period of time. A quick cold shower is what it took for me to finally wake up to reality, but boy was the water as cold as ice!

Drying myself for a bit by using the towel before I wrap it around my body, I peeked out just to see if Tyler was around. He has his back turned from me, still busy typing away from his laptop.

I took that as an opportunity to grab a few selection of clothes from the closet and walk back to the bathroom as soon as I can, making sure that the door is locked in any case Tyler tries something.

Tyler is no peeping Tom, nor a prankster of sorts, but it's better to be safe than sorry. While putting on my clothes, I started to wonder about how Luna is doing.

I want to visit her today and see how she's doing but.. I did promise her that I'll head to the house first and foremost, since she sounded really worried and serious about something lying around there.

".. Maybe I can first get to the house, visit Luna for a couple of hours and then go back! That's a good plan." I smiled cheekily to myself, now fully clothed. I picked up the comb that was chilling near the sink and started to brush my hair, staring at my reflection while doing so.

There was something that is bothering me... What was it again..?

"Oh! My reading glasses! Tyler still has them.. I need to get them back before I go." I soon remembered what I had almost forgotten.

Now, don't get me wrong! I have good eyesight, but it's sometimes better to have an extra pair of the same good eyesight in any case my eyes might start to strain from looking at either the screen or from a paper's writing, text or handwritten.

I exited the bathroom and I was relieved to see Tyler still there, except now he's on the phone.

"Hey Ty, do you still have my reading glasses? I need those just in case."

"Oh, those? Let me get it." Tyler got up and searched through his bag, pulling out a familiar yellow case after a moment.

"Here. No scratches, as always."
"Thanks, Ty! You're a nice friend." I smiled at him, though he just rolled his eyes.

"Just go, Cy. It's already what, almost six?" "Oh God why didnt you tell me?! I gotta go!" I stuffed my glasses case into my bag and let my hand hover the phone, soon grabbing it afterwards.

"You have the email?"

"Yes yes! See you, Tyler!"

I soon rushed out of the apartment complex and managed to have caught a cab. I soon stepped inside and take a few short breaths, soon looking around inside the cab and then outside the window.

I plugged my earphones to my phone and decided to listen to some soothing music, watching all the passing cars and buildings once again.

Everything felt serene and silent, but I know that in this place I'm living in, crime rates here are starting to add up. It felt like nobody will be safe the moment they even unlocked a window or not have any security measures installed within their homes.
