"I forgot to bring a lunch..." Jace's face darkened ever so slightly.
"Idiot brother made me lose my breakfast! And I forgot to bring a lunch..." Kagome's face darkened ever so slightly.
Grooowl~ x2
The two forlorn and ever so hungry souls sauntered down the hallway towards the cafeteria. At least there they could purchase themselves something. Maybe some Ramen? Or even Udon? Maybe Soba? Any of them could sate their hunger.
"Ne Muraoka-san, do you have a lunch today?" The tiny devil inquired, her eyes full of hope.
Jace shook his head side to side "Nope, I was a little forgetful this morning". He looked over at Kagome. "And... You don't have one either, huh?"
She shook her head, a little ashamed at what transpired at her home this morning. "How am I gonna be a good guide if I can't even bring my own lunch?" She looked back up at him again, then back forward.
"Hey you two!" Kokoro yelled out to them. They both looked back over their shoulder at the source of the voice.
"Ohh you two look terribly hungry, wanna share my lunch?" She stated with a smile.
Kagome had a dumb, but grateful look on her face. She nodded in agreement to her statement. "Well if you're gonna offer then I guess I can't say no, that would just be rude". She put on a smug smile to try and save face.
"And you, Muraoka-san? Do you wanna share?" Kokoro addressed Jace with another smile.
"Uhm, well I really shouldn't." He stated. His eyes looking to the side.
"Huh? Why not giant foreigner?" Kagome said with slight annoyance as she crossed her arms.
"It's okay Kagome-chan~ he has his reasons." Kokoro smiled at her with a tilt of her head.
"My reason? My reason is because I'm already failing miserably at this new school. I look like I need help to do the most basic of tasks because of my anxiety. And having to be fed by Kokoro would only make things worse." He looked back over at the two girls in front of him.
"I'm not trying to be, well rude. I just think I'll be okay buying my own meal. And I wouldn't feel right taking Watanabe-san's food from her." He itched the side of his left cheek.
Before anyone else could respond Kagome cut in. "Well whatever, let's get going or the line will get to long." She grabbed his his wrist and started off into the cafeteria.
"What am I doing? I've never been so bold with a guy before. I just reached out and grabbed him. And now I'm dragging him along like some lost puppy."
"Eh? Woah!" He started off after Kagome, not that he had much choice. "This tiny devil is surprisingly strong." He peered down at her little hand, it clasped halfway around his wrist. "I hope she doesn't notice..."
Kokoro watched as Kagome dragged Jace along with her to the line that was getting longer by the second. "Hey I'm gonna go set by the window over there you two!" She pointed towards the table in question. Kagome twisted around for a second and with her free hand she gave Kokoro a quick salute.
They were in line now and Jace noticed Kagome twisted his wrist to face the ceiling. She was looking directly at it before he quickly pulled his hand away. It caused her to jump ever so slightly, she looked up at him with a light blush.
"S... So what do you suggest?" Jace said quickly trying to change the subject of what she might have just seen.
"Scars... On his wrist? That's what I saw, I know it. They looked old though, like the ones on his face." She gulped, noticing she was staring directly into his emerald eyes.
