Bones
"What?!" we all respond the same as Tatum told us the car wasn't starting. I notice worry on everyone's faces as we stand in the snack isle , silent, trying to figure out what the hell to do.
"I turned the key and it just won't turn on anymore." Tatum's was fiddling with the threads of his sweater as he explains.
"You folks having some troubles with your car?"
We all turn towards the thick southern accent beside us, the cashier looking at us with his arms crossed. The man looked to be somewhere in his sixties, with a cowboy hat (no clue why the hell he's wearing it inside), pants with red and brown paint splatters all over it, and a very tattered plaid button up. He definitely gives off single farmer man vibes (or one of those people who work at like an engineer sight).
Tatum responds to him "Yes,It possible might just need a jump. If you have any jumper cables that would be great-." He answers in a polite way, which he is most the time, but it also seemed the stress was throwing him off a bit.
"I'll take a look at it in just a minute, I'll go grab the jumper cable from my truck."
Yeah..That's how to describe him. One of those odd truck drivers.
Tatum thanked the man as he made his way back out to the car.
I feel my chest tighten up a bit, my eyes starting to welt up with tears. What if this is it? What if for my last two days I get to do nothing? Even so...At least my last two days will be with my friends.
I feel tears leave my eyes, and my tightened up throat releases out my mouth with a sob. Angel must have noticed, because she spoke up
"Let's go outside and sit down sweetie.."
I nod, holding onto her as we walk back outside.
I still have the Redbull in my hand...
Does this count as stealing?
