As soarin walked through the freezing weather with his backpack, he went past a alleyway, there he suddenly heard a sneeze.

Soarin looked and saw a girl? He walked over and saw two baby blue ears with a red tip and a tail that matched her rainbow hair. As he got closer he noticed that she was curled up around another girl, she had the same baby blue ears with no tip and a tail that matched her orange and blue hair. The second girl was smaller than the first girl, they we're probably sisters. They were both in only shirts and leggings.

He touched the girls arms, they were both ice cold?!

He went to wake up the obviously older one when the little one woke up.

She gasped and ran away, the oldest woke up and saw him, they heard a crash. The girl ran to find out what the crash was.

Soarin ran after her and made sure not to slip on the ice.

He saw trash cans knocked over and a tail under the cans.

The older girl was trying to move the cans while the younger girl cried in pain.

He went over and helped the older girl move the cans.

Once the cans were moved soarin saw the younger girl covered in bruises.

The older girl picked up the younger girl.

"W-who are you" The older girl asked

"I'm soarin, I saw you in the alley and came to help" Soarin responded, "what are your names"

"I'm Rainbow... And this is my sister... Cloud... " The older girl said

Soarin went closer.

Rainbow held cloud close.

Soarin came over, "it's ok, I won't hurt you, I have a few friends that'll be able to help you and your sister"

"O-ok" Rainbow said

Soarin got something out of his bag. He grabbed a hoodie and a small blanket. He closed his bag.

"It's not much but it'll be enough to keep you warm till we get to my home," He said and handed the hoodie to rainbow, "I won't hurt her, just let me take her so you can get warm"

Rainbow hesitated before letting soarin hold a shivering cloud.

Soarin wrapped the blanket around cloud while Rainbow put on the hoodie.

When they went back to the house soarin called his friend fluttershy, she was dating one of his weirdest friends discord. He also called twilight his best friend flash's girlfriend. Twilight and fluttershy could help the girls.

The two sisters sat on the floor by the fireplace trying to get warm. Rainbow had her arms around cloud trying to warm her up.

"Sissy..." Cloud said

"Ya baby" She said

Cloud pointed to her ankle, it was all bruised and swollen.

"Awww baby" Rainbow said, "you probably sprained it"

Cloud leaned against her sister

Soarin came over, "my friend is going to be over soon, so tell me..." He tried to think of the nicest way to say 'what in the world are you half human half what' so he said, "what kind of hybrid are you girls"

Rainbow looked down at her sister, "I'm half wolf, and my sister is half fox"

"You don't have to tell me but how did you become hybrids" Soarin asked

"Well... Our dad needed money... He was already abusing us...and our mom died when cloud was born... Anyway our dad sold us when I was 4 and cloud was only 1... We got experimented on till I was 10 and cloud was 7... They gave us back to our dad and he just kept us locked up till he went to jail... We were taken to a shelter... Then we escaped and ended up on the streets..." Rainbow explained,

Cloud had been chewing on the edge of her dirty shirt.

"The weird thing is that even though cloud is 13 now, she acts and thinks like a 6 or 7 year old" Rainbow finished

"You girls have been through a lot" Soarin said he then and there decided her would protect these girls. Plus he thought the older one was do adorable, covered in dirt or not.

They heard the doorbell

He went to get it.

He opened the door and he saw fluttershy, discord, twilight, and flash. Fluttershy and twilight each had a bag.

"Hi guys" Soarin said

"Hi soarin" Flash said

They all said hi before coming in and see the girls

Fluttershy looked at them and kept say that they were do cute.

After about 10 minutes fluttershy and twilight brought them into the bathroom to help them get cleaned up.

Cloud was sitting in a chair as twilight was checking her ankle.

Fluttershy was filling up the tub with water so when they helped them get cleaned up.

Rainbow was trying to keep cloud calm.

They got cloud cleaned up first, she kept splashing fluttershy when she was giving her a bath.

Fluttershy giggled, "hey rainbow how old are you two again"

"Um... I'm 16 and cloud is 13," Rainbow said as twilight was checking her scrapes

"Awww you two are still pups" Fluttershy said as she turned back to cloud who was now chewing on the rubber duck. Fluttershy chuckled, "don't chew on that," She said putting the duck on the side of the tub.

Cloud stared at the duck.

Fluttershy finished giving cloud a bath and helped her get changed into some old clothes she had, then went to help rainbow get a bath.

Twilight wrapped cloud's foot.

Once they were done and dressed fluttershy let them pick a toy each.

Rainbow got a bear and cloud got a penguin that she could chew on.

They all went down stairs and sat on the couch... Well cloud sat on the ground for some weird reason... But anyway they all talked until the others left.

Cloud fell asleep on the ground with the toy in her mouth.

Soarin picked her up and he showed them where they would sleep.

Cloud was Layed down in bed.

The other two went back down stairs the sat on the couch and watched a movie.

When it was over soarin then said, "why did you trust me"

"Maybe because I saw you weren't going to hurt us and actually care about us, you're actually cute to" Rainbow said

"Well thanks for trusting me, you're adorable to" Soarin said and kissed her forehead

Rainbow then went to kiss his cheek but accidentally kissed his lips,

They blushed and looked away from each other.

"So... Who was sneezing that's how I found you" Soarin asked

"Um cloud had been sneezing all day" Rainbow said

Later they went upstairs and went to sleep knowing their lives are changing for the best.
