Rainbow's POV

As I walked down the store isle with my mom, I heard, "on the ground"

Me and my mom looked and saw a guy with a gun!

I froze, my mom pulled me down

The guy suddenly shot my leg, he left as police officers cornered him. I felt my mom lay me down, she wrapped something around my leg.

"It's going to be ok dashie, promise" She said

I saw someone come down and I was lifted onto something softish.

I passed out.

I woke up, I heard beeping and a whole lot of other stuff.

I felt something wrapped around my leg

I didn't know what was going on, I looked around and saw mommy!

"Mommy!" I said

"Baby" She said and hugged me, "I'm so happy you're ok"

I nodded, she helped me sit up

"Some way to spend my birthday huh" I said

"Ya, you'll still be here tomorrow" She said, "some 14th birthday huh"

I leaned against her

"What happened" I asked

"You got shot baby" She said

I hugged her as the door opened

I looked over and saw my mom's friend and my boyfriend soarin!

"Soar?!" I said sitting up

He ran over to me and hugged me, "dashie!"

I hugged back and started crying

"Shhhhhh I gotcha" He said

I slowly calmed down, I looked at my mommy then back at soarin, "cuddle..." I asked quietly

He chuckled, he looked at my mom, she nodded, he helped me get comfortable before laying next to me, he held me close playing with my fizzy hair.

The adults talked as soarin cuddled with me, I loved it for some reason.

"I won't let anyone hurt you now, I'll be with you and protect you" Soarin whispered

I soon fell asleep knowing soarin would protect me.
