Weeks went by since the dream. You all had agreed to keep it quiet unless it got worse, because as of late, Pale was happier. Mom was too. Hornet didn't wanna destroy the mood, and neither did you. So, with every passing week, you got more and more concerned about your five friends. An entire month had gone past and yet... nothing. They still hadn't returned. Radi and Pale had started throwing dirty looks at each other though. Some things never change.

Hornet was growing restless. She was tired of staying in the basin and Palace and wanted to prank the entirety of Hallownest with her companions. Hollow was being forced into this, Flower was all for it, you decided "What the hell could go wrong?" And Broken was clueless. Perfect.

You had started to hang around the Abyss more often, due to Pale and Mom going there a lot. Every time you went, usually with Broken or Hollow, the Shades would be less shy. You could even communicate with a few, and they were happy to know that some Vessels escaped. You would tell them stories as Mom (who was a very talented artist) sketched them and Broken often helped with the names. Over 200 Shades were recorded over the months, and nothing particularly exciting happened.

You tried to keep track of how long you had been in this world, but it was hard. You arrived on August 20th, spent a two weeks getting to know the place, a day in deepnest, a bonus day before transformation, six months, two more weeks and then a month or something like that. In total, you had been here around eight months here, meaning it was around March or April.

Disturbing thoughts, those were. Eight months in Hallownest. It was amazing how far away Earth seemed now. Radi was the only connection you had now to the world of boredom. She was... interesting to talk to. Certainly an interesting character, she is. Extroverted, bright, and kind of an idiot when it came to any social situation. It was fun to watch and listen to her try to talk to anyone at all that wasn't your siblings or her "enemy". Pha'Talo was not brought up once. You agreed to tell Broken and Flower and they believed you.

So basically, normal day, normal circumstances. Until Isma practically broke down a door. When she did this, it scared the ever living hell out of you and Hornet, who were just casually sitting in the library reading a book on world domination. She ran into the room, and Hornet practically jumped into your arms. She was clearly tired, and looked like you when you forgot that the concept of "sleep" is important. She caught her breath and tried to say "Emergency meeting" but words failed the poor plant creature. So, she scooped you and Hornet up in her arms and was about to run out of the room when an unfamiliar voice asked "Isla, whats going on?"

You looked for the source of the voice and saw... the Collector? He was standing there, leaned against a bookshelf looking NORMAL and that scared you. "Meeting... And for the... hundredth time... its Isma..." He shrugged with all four of his arms and went back to organizing books. "Whos that?" Hornet asked quietly. "Col...ector..." Isma took a deep breath and ran back the way she came.

You arrived right outside the Palace entrance, where Pale, Mom, the other three vessels, and the four (now five) great knights and a few others were. Pale looked like he was having a panic attack, and Dryya still looked sick. "Hollow, what's going on?" You jumped out of Ismas arms and walked over to your sibling, who replied with "Flower opened her big mouth and now were about to get interrogated about the dumb dream."

Damn Flower, always opening her non existent mouth and letting slip SOMETHING. Its a reoccurring thing. With nearly every planned prank, she'll write something down, usually revealing their plans and stuff. Pale and Mom liked to read their kiddo's conversations with each other, causing them to know and you to get caught. You loved her, but man was she frustrating.

"Seriously Flower?" You wacked her upside the head and she flinched. "I deserved that." Ogrim pat Isma's head. "You DO know that you didn't have to run right?" "...I feel cheated out of something."

What followed was the longest lecture you ever had the joy of receiving. Both Mom and Pale told you all off for not telling them sooner. And it came with a twist. "Its like the damned infection all over again! The bitch I used to call my brother is taking over some bugs minds and using them to try and over throw me. And they're coming after you too!" You felt a jolt of shock in your group. They had only heard about the infection throught stories, and they were told some pretty bad things. You were there to confirm hat it was as bad as everyone described it. So they were perpetually fucking terrified by this. "WHAT IF HE TAKES US TOO?!" Hornet whimpered.

"If he does, well then hes got a new problem all together." Pale clenched his fists angrily. Mom wasn't particularly happy with you guys either. Pale sighed and growled a few swears in a language you didn't understand at first. "Herrah is coming to pick Hornet up later today, AFTER you tell me every detail of your supposed dreams and blah blah blah lets just get it over with." He dragged you, inside and up some stairs Hollow and Hornet followed and you were lead to an empty room. He snapped and you were bound to chairs seconds later, with just enough room to move your hands and write.

"Now children. Start talking."
