The Ambush

Sofia's POV

I was walking around the garden in my old village when I heard a familiar but out of place voice and went to investigate and was surprised to see prince Desmond standing looking for me. I smile and said "good morning Desmond"and  curtsied. He smiles and bows "good  day Sofia". I smile and said "so what brings you to enchancia" ? He blushes and said"actually you do. I have something I wanted to ask you." I nodded curious and said" would you like to go somewhere more private?" He blushes and said"no that's ok princess I just need a minute to think of exactly how I want to put it". I smiled and said" take your time I'm in no rush". He blushes and said" so we've been friends for awhile now and I was actually wondering if you were interested in something more"?  I blushed and said "oh I see.  Well Desmond as it stands right now I'm not. I'm sorry". He nods and said " it's because I'm practically scared of everything right"? I signed"no it's because I'm already in love and dating someone else". He growls "who"? I just shrugged and said "Hugo but we can still be friends". He sighed and said"I hoped I wouldn't have to do this but" grabbed Me and threw me into the garden wall and started punching me. I grabbed the nearest pot and struck him causing him to fall back. I quickly jumped up and ran to where the guards where patrolling and said" help Desmond's lost his mind" and ran for the coach trying to get to the castle. I hoped in " to the castle and fast as my nose was bleeding and my dress was even ripped. I look over my arms and legs seeing mutiple bruises forming. I Sighed relieved that I was back at the castle "close the gates and sound the warning prince Desmond is attacking me!"  I sigh and ran full speed inside and said "guards! come quick I need you and my family!!". I smiled as the palace guards and my father came running over drawing their sword upon seeing the blood on my nose. I started crying as my father hugged me and said "who did this Sofia?" I Sighed and said" Prince Desmond! He attacked me just because I wouldn't date him ". My father yells and said" guards secure the castle and warn the staff we have to protect my family. I hugged him tighter and said "dad where's mom amber and James"?  "Upstairs in the sitting room" . I nodded and ran upstairs and right into my mother who was coming to check with my dad. I hugged her and started crying even more holding onto her for dear life. Sofia!! I jumped and look up to see my mom and siblings looking absolutely pissed off. Away from this gently grabbed my wrist pulled me into her room and said "strip to your underwear I want to see how bad this is." I nodded and said "could  you close the door?" Amber nods and closes locking the door. I Sighed and took off my ripped and ruined dress and blushed as nearly every inch my body was bruised and turning purple. Amber curses and pulled the call bell. I blushed and looked away as Marci was let in. "what can I do for you too miss" ? I blushed as amber said "go  get my mother and father they need to see this" gestures towards me.
