Alastor was awaken by a young fawn coming over licking his face, "Hmm....?" He looked over at the deer, but his brain had yet fully processed what he was looking at.

Baaaa! Baaaa!

His eyes widened at the sound of the baby deer, he pet its head gently. Getting little bleats in response. He had grown used to being woken up by a variety of animals while in the garden. But deer seemed to be the ones who woke him up most of the time. Speaking of time, what time was it? He looked up at the sky above, it was a pinkish tone fading upwards, into a crimson red.
....Early dawn....

With a small grunt he got up from the bottom of the now fully grown tree. He walked to the doors when he noticed in his peripheral vision that the young deer was following him. He turns to it and chuckles, "Friendly are we?" He gave it a small pat to the head, "I'm afraid you'll have to stay in here though dear. This where he—oof?!"

The door opened, bumping him a little. So he turned his head to see Charlie peeking in. "Sorry Alastor. I didn't know you were by the door...I just came in here to talk to dad a bit before the ceremony..."

"Oh that's quite alright, I was just about to leave is all when this little fellow decided to follow me," his smile widens a bit as she slips into the garden beside him. In turn causing the young fawn to run off. She was still in her red nightgown, and her hair was a bit messy. Despite her look, her eyes had slight bags under neither. One of his brows rose.

"Charlie, did you sleep at all?"

"Huh? Oh...haha...no not really....," the princess played with her hair as she started to walk to tree, "It's just...I'm nervous is all and couldn't stop thinking about today....I-"

Alastor followed, "My dear..."

He placed a hand on her shoulder, "You're going to be just fine. You're worrying over nothing."

She laughed sadly, "That's easy to say Al...but you weren't the one who made a fool of themselves on tv....you weren't pointed and laughed at....you're not disrespected by those in hell. I am...."
His smile strained a bit, the poor girl lacked so much confidence in herself. She saw him as a father figure, so what should he say to her? Telling her she'd be fine wasn't going to work, clearly. With a sigh he forced his smile to widen once more, "Charlie, you're the daughter of Lucifer and Lilith, you have more power than any fool in hell. If they point and laugh then show them you aren't to be made a mockery of. You don't have to harm anyone, just show them what you can do, and most sinners will run to hide."

The princess smiled, "Thanks Al."

"No need to thank—"
Charlie cut him off by hugging him which made him wrinkle up his nose almost immediately, but he peered down at her. Her eyes were looking at the ground, tears were welling up. She needed this. So he calmed down and wrapped arms around her. She sighed, no longer able to keep the tears from falling, "I'm sorry...I-"

"It's alright," he quickly reassured, "Though I must ask you...Where is Vaggie?"

"She's still asleep....I didn't want to wake her...," Charlie replied.

Alastor patted her back in a comforting manner, "I understand, I suppose you being this nervous is reasonable."

The blonde princess released him, and wiped her eyes, "yeah...."

"Come now, you clearly need some sleep. I'll walk you back to your room," he opened the door for her. She looked back at the tree. She thought she'd find comfort in talking to her father, but ended up getting it from the very man who was another father figure in her life instead. Turning back, she gave little smile, "Okay..."
