** Tyler **

I ran through the grass until I was by the street, and even then I ran further, my cheeks were wet, my breathing was labored and I was crying again, so much for getting all the makeup off, I thought. My feet were starting to hurt, but I couldn't allow myself to stop. I heard Luke yelling my name and I wasn't ready to face anyone. I hadn't really planned on anywhere so I didn't know where I was. I took a left onto a dirtpath. There were trees lining the sides of the path and I didn't recognize anything anymore, I didn't hear Luke either. I finally stopped running, leaning over with my hands on my knees to catch my breath.

I continued to walk down the path until I saw a clearing, I walked to it and made a right, I had made my way back to the street and I didn't feel so unsafe anymore. I was planning on going back to the school, or maybe even going home when I ran into someone. Please don't be Luke, please don't be Luke.

"Hi doll, I've missed you." a voice said.

Doll?

I looked up and I felt the life drain out of my body.

"Ryder? What are you doing here? Let go of me." I struggled to get out of his grip.

"Why so quick to run away? I've missed you, I came here for you, you can at least show a little kindness."

"Kindness? Are you kidding? How did you find me? Why are you here?" I panicked.

"For you, isn't it obvious? We were in love." He smiled.

"We weren't..." I pulled myself from his grip. "In love." I took a step back. "We were stupid and I got hurt, if that's love then everyone else has been doing it wrong." I glared at him.

"No need to be so cruel doll, I've changed, I'm back now, I'm here for you, I'm here with you." he stepped closer to me. I stepped back, this continued until my back hit a wall.

        Damn.

"Ryder, you need to go, there is no us, I don't want you here. Go back to wherever you came from."

"Tyler, stop." he leaned closer to me, breathing on my neck. My body was calm, yet my mind was screaming, I was trapped, and I needed to not be. "You're being irrational."

        "And you're being a dick."

"As I remember it, you used to like that."

"Yeah well, people change." I said, pushing off the wall and bumping into him.

I quickly walked away from him, back near civilazation. He didn't come for me, and that worried me more. The aching in my feet had dulled and I wiped my hands over my face, trying to get rid of the horrible "I was crying" look. I ran through the clearing and dirthpath again, my mind racing. I needed to get home, I needed to think, I needed to tell my dad. No. I couldn't tell anyone. I can't go through everything again, I can get rid of him myself.

I kept my head down as I walked, hugging myself.

        "Tyler?!" someone called.

        I turned around, "Luke?"

"Oh my god, Tyler." Luke ran to me. "What happened?" he pulled me into a hug. "Are you okay? Does anything hurt? Were you lost? What's 2+2? Can you hear me? Is anything wrong?"  he looked panicked.

I chuckled and smiled at him. "Which question do you want me to answer?"

"Just one." he breathed, placing his hands on my waist. "Can I kiss you?"
