When Thunder Clashes
A Few hours after the girls escaped...
Watching the girls escape with their lives, was the only good thing to come out of the past few hours. I begrudgingly was dragged by the other soldiers, Cameron, and Sydney, they called themselves, as they tried to parade me through their base, trying to do whatever sick and twisted things they had planned.
Cameron was in front while Sydney was behind me while we went through a portion of the base that I hadn't seen before, but I knew one thing—I wasn't wanting to stay a minute.
Using my bound wrists, I quickly moved them in a backwards sky uppercut and slammed my funny bone into Sydney's nose, which caused her to reel backwards as the blood trickled from her nose and face. I fiendishly smiled at my success as I started to make a run for it, while also trying to fumble with the ropes that were used to trap me.
I struggled for a bit, but I somehow managed to call my magic and in turn summon a portal just in time as I turned to see the others chasing after me, almost opening fire on me, before the screams of commands came raining down, before....
They didn't.
The last thing I saw before I jumped through the portal was this strike team just remaining at the base, not even bothering to come after me.
It was like they were deer trapped in a headlight, and they didn't want take the time to come after me.
Part of wondered why, and another part of me didn't—couldn't care less—if it meant I lived another day, then so be it.
Jumping through the portal, was possible the best way I was going survive and get back to everyone else. If I even could.

Coming out from the portal, I found myself in what looked like a giant shopping center that also doubled as an entertainment venue of sorts, but by the looks of it, and the sun as I glanced up, it must have been early morning. Super early at that.
I quickly darted around the vacant parting lot trying to see if there were any cars around.
After scanning the area I found one, and made a beeline towards it, while also keeping an eye out for anyone who could possibly give me any grief, and when I thought the coast was clear, I ripped off the shirt I was wearing, wrapped it around my hand, and threw all my strength into the window, smashing it to bits, and then I shook out my shirt the best I could, and threw it over me as I hastily reached in, unlocked the door and hopped in, finding my way with the wires to start it, and the long drive that loomed for me ahead.
Driving towards the mansion wasn't really the issue; it was the winding backroads that I had to constantly change up, since I knew that Elizabeth was always watching how we traveled.
She felt like if she was being followed, then we all were. Paranoia at her finest.
Yet, nothing could have prepared me for what I would descend upon when I had arrived. And just to make sure that I couldn't be easily spotted, I parked the car that I had stolen from Westgate and hid it a good distance away from the house.
I wanted to make sure that if I had to use this as escape vehicle, that it was still going to be operational. It didn't take me long to find the car, and carjack it, it was the long and dull drive that was the boring part.
