I was rushing down the hall with Drea as held on to Kait, finally able to remove the dagger. Somehow. Yet, we were running out of time.

We needed to act. We needed to heal her.

"Who are you?" I asked this enigmatic woman who was helping me and Drea wheel Kaitlyn down the hall on a stretcher. "How do you know so much about me?"

"My name is Vornica." Vornica introduced herself and her voice as gentle as a spring breeze yet calm like the ocean. "I severe the Queen of Asgard, Frigg. I am one of her handmaidens on Asgard, yet here, I dabble with the lives man so I can learn more about them." She checked Kaitlyn's pulse. "And I've had my eye on both you, and Kaitlyn for quite some time. But please call me Voro."

I observed as Drea had managed on top of Kait's body as she was employing more and more pressure.

"How do you know so much about me? About Kait?" I asked her, and as I did, that perked up Drea's ears.

"I know you." Drea's bubbly voice cut in. She was hellbent on saving Kait. "I've read about you, and the others. You ladies are utterly amazing."

"We are just simply maidens who serve our Queen. No more, no less." Voro said with a smile. "Now come, we must start working on Kaitlyn." I watched as she went for a set of tools, while Drea raced over to a sink in this clinically, and stainless covered operating room, to wash her hands free of the blood and then throw on some rubber gloves, while also handing some to me as well.

"If you saved Samantha," Drea spoke confidently. "Then I know you can save Kait."

"Although that was...." I tripped over my words. I seriously thought that it was a stroke of luck. "a gamble. I was lucky."

Drea chalked up a smile. "Your magic came out when you saved Sam. That's not a fluke." Her beautiful eyes absorbed me in and started digging into me. "I watched you after you had me level her blood out."

"You saved a Valkyrie?" Voro said with a fright. "Through only magic? My," She took a step back from me, looked me over. "You are special indeed. More so than we thought. Where...does your power emanate from?"

"I don't know." I admitted feebly. "I was taught how to save lives through another. Through someone I thought was family, until she turned out to be a raging bitch."

"Do you refer to the Queen of Darkness herself, Elizabeth?" Voro hinted, and then admitted. "Even in my Great Queen's Hall, we know all. We watch."

"So..." I started then stopped. How much did the Queen of Asgard know, and simply not intervene on? "You know who Elizabeth is? What she is capable of?"

"We do," she spoke with fear in her voice. "And if she succeeds, everyone—including my Queen will perish." She cleared her throat. "But come young Brittany, let us work together to save your sister, so that way we can give her a fighting chance for what's to come."

Voro, as she called herself, was a tall gangly woman who was still quite beautiful in her own right. I couldn't exactly say how tall she was, but the height felt reminiscent of Erin's height, only with less features. Her long dirty blonde hair that was almost a touch of brown, was neatly thrown together in a bun. Her golden eyes shone brightly as we entered the dim setting of the surgical room.

I worked with them both as we worked quickly to remove any loose fragments or glass that had found their way into her delicate but damaged body, occasionally calling for other tools to switch out so I can grab and pull something out, pull her skin close together so that way we could surgically staple the cut in place and allow it to heal properly.
