Week 1 {B}

I sat in my French class at school we had been told we were getting a surprise as it was coming to the end of the school year and we only had 6 weeks left.

Suddenly the teacher stood up from her chair. "Right Year Ten the surprise is I have set up Pen Pals for all of you from a school in France. You will write to them every week until the end of term. You can still communicate with them for as long as you like over social media. When you come back to school in September as Year Elevens the French students will arrive here too for a week and then after that week is up we will head to France with them. Those two weeks will be no proper lessons just getting to know your pen pal before we start GCSE prep and revision."

There was cheers through the class as this was a great surprise.

"Quiet down class. I have the names of the French Students in an envelope so I will pick one out at random an dthe that's your pen pal."

I don't mind who my pen pal is as long as they are nice. The teacher was handing out small slips of paper to everyone when she reached their desks. She stopped at my desk and handed me a paper slip. I opened it up and it said Forsythe Pendleton Jones III.

I thought he must be something like royalty to have a name like that. We were told to start writing our first letter and it had to be in French to help our knowledge. I thought for a couple minutes about what to write but then I thought I'd just introduce myself and then see what else comes to me.
