A man walked over to us, I recognized him. It was Klaus' younger brother. He looked quite handsome in a suit. I stared as he walked over and he gave me a smirk, showing he saw me gazing at him. I broke my gaze and looked between Damon and Mayor Lockwood.
"Mayor Lockwood, we haven't formally met. Kol Mikaelson." He stated leaning down to kiss her hand. "I hope your lovely town embraces us, just as we plan to embrace it."
"Damon Salvatore. Have we met?"
"I've met a lot of people, and you don't particularly stand out." Kol replied shaking his hand and looking over his shoulder towards me. I looked at him and smiled slightly. " You look lovely in that dress I gifted you, darling." My smile disappeared and my eyes widened. I was shocked, Kol, Kol Mikaelson gifted me something. "Kol." He picked up my hand and kissed it. I blushed and looked down.
"Danielle." I was still looking down from being embarrassed. I couldn't have felt butterflies for an Original Vampire.
"If everyone could please gather." Elijah announced as everyone turned to face him. "Welcome, thank you for joining us. You know, whenever my mother, bring our family together like this, it's tradition to commence this even with a dance. Tonight's dance is a centuries old waltz. So if all of you could please find yourselves a partner, please join us in the ballroom." And with that, Elijah rushed down the stairs. I was looking around to find Damon or Stefan but as I took a step forward, someone had blocked my path. Kol.
"You were suppose to save me a dance, darling." I looked at him and took his hand reluctantly. He escorted me to the ball room with everyone else. Give Me Love started playing. Everyone was happily dancing with each other, except for Caroline and Klaus. He looked happy, but Caroline on the other hand looked, sad, angry, and so many other things I couldn't explain.

Soon enough I was spun out of Kol's hands and into Elijah's.
"Elijah."
"You look lovely Danielle!" He commented while waltzing around.
"Thank you!" I replied. As the song ended, we all clapped and began to wander off again. I was looking around the mansion when Elena caught my eye. She was walking upstairs, I decided to follow her. When she knocked on the door I hid behind a wall so that no one could spot me from the room. Someone opened the door and then closed it after a minute. They walked right passed me and down the stairs. I tried to focus on listening to the conversation but I couldn't hear anything. I furrowed my eyebrows and tried focusing more. I just couldn't hear anything. I gave up after a few more tries and walked back downstairs. I was talking with Rebekah when our conversation was interrupted by Esther. She began to make a toast while waiters walked around with glasses of champagne. It looked weird since it was colored a shade of pink but I shrugged it off thinking nothing of it. We all cheered and drank the champagne. After about an hour or so of talking with Rebekah, I really need to go to the bathroom, so I walked upstairs and saw that the room Elena had been in was slightly open. I heard very faint voices, my curiosity took the best of me, so I walked over to the door and listen in.
"Once our siblings are all linked as one, I will sacrifice myself." A man voiced. I could barely see but knew it was Finn. He was very suspicious during the ball. I scoffed a little but to vampires, you can hear that crystal clear. He turned around and was now facing the door, I quickly ran downstairs trying not to make a loud noise. While I was on my way to talk to Stefan I heard I crack noise. I quickly turned my head to the way the sound came from and saw Damon hovering over Kol. My eyes grew wide.
"Damon!" Elena yelled.
"Why did you do that?" I asked running over to Kol. Damon didn't answer and just started walking away. I rolled my eyes and looked down at Kol. Elena and Stefan had walked off to find Damon, while I was left alone. Wow, how nice brothers they are. Elijah walked out and picked Kol up. He threw him over his shoulder and carried him to his room. Since my brothers had left me here, I decided to help the Mikaelsons clean up a bit. After we had finished, I walked outside and sat on a bench at the front of the Mikaelson Mansion. I had texted Stefan to come pick me up, I was waiting for him. I heard and snap of a twig and quick turned my head around.
"Klaus." I sighed turning back around. He took a seat next to me and looked up at the sky. We didn't say a word for a couple minutes. I knew I needed to say something about Finn and Esther. I just didn't know how. Before I could say anything, Stefan drove up and honked the horn. I swiftly got up and waved to Klaus while getting into Stefan's car. I leaned against the window and fell asleep a minute later.
