Chapter Four

Haley was looking in the mirror fixing her hair while Paige was lying on her bed flipping through the latest magazine about celebrity gossip.

“So you going to tell me how you scored a date with one of the hottest guys in collage” she asked smirking, Haley turned around rolling her eyes

“It’s not a date; were just two friends hanging out and that’s all” Haley grabbed her shoes

“Just saying you guys are so cute together; it’s like you’re meant to be together” Haley blushed at Paige’s comment. Haley did have a crush on Michael there was no denying it but at the moment she wasn’t looking for a relationship she just wanted to complete the first year of college without getting her heartbroken. There was a knock on the door and Paige ran over opening the door seeing Michael and Ashton; her eyes widen slamming the door looking at Haley.

“What the hell was that”?

“Ashton is here, why the fuck is Ashton here”? She said whispering

“Maybe if you move I can find out” Haley told her as Paige moved to the side while Haley opened the door.

“Paige here wants to know why Ashton is here”. Haley said

“HALEY”! Paige said behind the door

“Well Ashton wanted to join and wanted to hang out with Paige, if that’s okay”? Michael asked

“Its fine, but just she just needs ten minutes and she’ll be ready” they both nodded as Haley shut the door behind her telling Paige to get dressed quickly.

Michael and Haley were sitting in the booth at the back of the club while Paige and Ashton were dancing with each other on the dance floor. Haley was barley touching her drink while Michael was almost on his third one.

“You do know they are going to kiss soon” Michael said seeing that Haley was watching her friend. Haley looked at Michael raising an eyebrow

“How can you tell”? She asked, looking back at them. Michael sat closer to Haley putting an arm around her.

“While look at the way they are looking at each other; now that’s what I call love and the way the music is set they are bound to kiss in about five seconds” Haley rolled her eyes watching them both “Five, Four, Three, Two, One” Paige and Ashton soon kissed and Haley looked at Michael surprised

“How did you know that”?

“It’s a gift” Michael told her taking a sip of his beer

“Alright smart guy, what about them two over there” Haley said pointing to a couple sitting on the other side of the club.

“Okay well the guy wants to kiss her and is going to try to go for it but the girl doesn’t want anything to do with him because maybe he cheated on her”

“How do you know he cheated?”

“At the bar when I was getting drinks he was kissing another girl”

“Alright Clifford let’s bet on this, how much”? Haley said with confidence

“Oh no, no I don’t want your money” Michael said smirking

“Then what do you want”?

“If I get this right I get a kiss on the cheek from you” Haley blushed a bit and said
