Chapter Twenty One

Michael

I was sitting on my bed cleaning my room up feeling stupid for not telling her sooner than later. I heard my phone ring seeing Ashton was calling me. I walked over answering it needing a friend

“Hello” I said

“Hey mate, how is operation win Haley’s heart once again going?” he said

“Yeah we just got into a fight”

“WHAT”! I heard Paige in the background now knowing I was on loud speaker “Ashton give me the phone now” Paige said

“Hello Paige” I said

“Michael don’t you fuck this up I need my best friend back I mean yeah I’ve Naomi and Brooke but I’ve known Haley longer and I need her back into my life so don’t you fuck this up Clifford” she said

“You pick them well don’t you Ashton” I said

“I can still hear you Michael, now tell me what happen”?

“Well first of all Haley’s dad decides to invite Zac to the wedding and the engagement party and then he tells her about the baby and now she’s crushed” I said

“Wait Zac as in ex Zac” Paige said

“Yes that guy” I said walking over to the window; I looked down and saw a black car pulling up outside noticing Zac in that car “Fuck his here” I said annoyed and I got mad when I saw that Haley was getting in the car now. “And Haley just got in the car with him and at the moment Mr. White is getting what he wanted and that’s me out of her life for good”

“Michael remember you said to yourself that you wouldn’t give up and don’t waste the last six years of being with Haley down the drain; grow some balls and get your wife and my best friend back” she said

“Yeah mate Paige is right” Ashton said; I rolled my eyes and said

“Man you’re so whipped” I said

“Yeah and so are you now I better go just remember don’t give up” he said before hanging up.

I ran downstairs seeing Matthew and Julia looking at plans for the wedding I walked over to see where Mr. White was.

“Do you guys know where Mr. White is”? I asked them

“In the office” Matthew said, I walked away going to his office not even knocking on his door and just walking in seeing him kissing another women who wasn’t he’s wife.

“Michael” he said doing his shirt up the women did her shirt up as well running out of the office as well.

“Are you kidding me your still doing that and that’s exactly why your daughter left that and your controlling her life once again; I knew she should have come back here” I said “And I can’t believe you told her about the baby that broke her when I had to tell her”

“Well that’s too bad she needed to know the truth after all”

“What the hell is wrong with you; what type of father are you, Haley was happy with me and was happy to come home with me in London and you had to fuck that up for us because you couldn’t live without your daughter” I said walking closer to him.

“If she was happy with you Mr. Clifford then why is she out right now with Zac the guy that she’s supposed to be with not some music producer that will won’t be remembered in a couple years because he doesn’t know what the hell he’s doing” Mr. White said

“You’re lucky I won’t tell Haley what happen and why she left this family because that’ s up to you if you want your daughter’s trust then tell her or else I will because at the moment your losing at this so called mission of getting me out of Haley’s life” I said turning around and almost walking out the door.

“Oh but you see Mr. Clifford I’m already winning and probably by the time this wedding happens you will be gone and my daughter will be living here with the guy she truly wants to be with” I turned around seeing the smirk on his face and I stormed out of the room slamming it behind me. He was right he was winning while I was losing my wife.

It was later that night I was in my room playing on my guitar while making meetings on skype with bands I had to push back dates for that’s basically all I’ve been doing all day to get my mind off Haley. After all the meetings I had I just played on my guitar. I saw the door open seeing Haley open the door

“Hi” she said smiling at me “Can I come in”?

“Yeah sure” I said putting my guitar down; she sat on my bed beside me looking down at her thumbs

“Listen I’m sorry for what I did; I get why you kept this from me knowing this baby thing will hurt and you should have been the one to tell me when you wanted too”

“It’s fine Haley; I should have told you sooner”

“Also I do need to tell you something” she said turning to face me “I do like you Michael when I kissed you last night I felt a spark between us but I’m just not sure if I’m in love with you but I am falling for you”

“That’s all I wanted to hear” I said smiling

“So can we not fight again because I don’t like fighting” she said

“It’s fine with me” I said; Haley got up from the bed giving me a hug and once she pulled away from me she leaned in kissing me again forgetting about the shit day I’ve had and her father ruining he’s daughter’s relationship. I wrapped my arms around Haley bringing her down with me on the bed not breaking the kiss. Haley pulled away and said

“So I know this sounds stupid but would you like to be my date to my brother’s wedding” she said smiling

“Well I am your husband but yes I will be your date” I said; she leaned in again kissing me again hoping she was feeling that spark between us again.
