It was the next day and Camilla, Bonnie, and Damon had to listen to Kai rant
"And of course I had to break into the Oval Office and took a picture of myself at the window, looking all JFK. But then I was like, wait, how am I gonna get these photos developed." Kai ranted
"Oh, my god. Just answer the damn question." Damon butted in
"Wait. I wanna know how he got them developed." Camilla said
"Cami. No. How are we gonna get out of this twilight zone?" Damon said
"I got a question for you first. Why do you think we're stuck on a repeating loop of May 10th, 1994 doomed to relive a solar eclipse forever and ever and ever?" Kai asked
"How the hell should I know?" Damon answered
"Well I heard you tell Cami and Bonnie this was your own hell. I'm kinda curious why." Kai said
"I found everything you asked for. Can opener, shower drain, grinding wheel, jam, pocket knife, volume O of the encyclopaedia, a nail and a black marker. Now what?" Bonnie said dumping the supplies on the table
"Can't show you with my hands taped." Kai responded
Camilla snatched the pocket knife from the table and walked over to Kai
"Cami..." Damon warned her
"Are you gonna hurt me?" Kai asked with a wink and she rolled her eyes
Camilla cut the tap off from his wrists
"How's this pile of crap gonna get us out?" Damon asked
"I'll explain as soon as you tell me what you did on May 10th, 1994." Kai told him
"What difference does it make?" Damon exclaimed
"Put it this way: Bonnie and Camis magic is one part of the equation. My as yet undisclosed knowledge is the other. Which means you would be hitched a ride home for free. I just want to know if you deserve to come along." Kai explained
Damon marched towards Kai and pulled him up by his jacket
"Or I could just torture you until you say something useful." Damon retorted
"If you torture me, I'll get mad and then I won't want to help you. What kind of person needs to have that explained to them?" Kai told him and Camilla grabbed the knife from Damon's hand as he let Kai go
"Play nice." Camilla instructed
"Stop trying to impress the new guy." Damon said and she made a face
"Why don't you just tell him your story?" Bonnie asked
"Maybe because I don't want to talk about the worst thing I ever did, Bonnie." Damon snapped
