Ranting pep talk

Toshinori shifted in his slumber, noticing how uncomfortable his bed felt.

No... it wasn't his bed... it was far too hard... it felt like he was laying on hard wood floors...

"He-he's waking up!" A voice shouted.

Immediately, his eyes shot open as he sat up abruptly.

"M-Midoriya?" He said after green hair caught his eyes. The said teen sighed in relief.

"Mr. Yagi, thank god you're all right!"

Strange... usually he would address him as All Might...

He immediately knew why though after noticing a hand was placed on his shoulder. He nearly spat out blood in surprise when seeing two (e/c) eyes staring at him with amusement.

"You has me worried there, Yagi-kun. Lucky for you, I called this little veggie up." You said as you gave the blushing teen a knowing glance.

"Y-y-yeah! I was really worried when a woman called me to get here as soon as possible..." Midoriya answered while rubbing the back of his neck.

"T-though I was wondering why you didn't call an ambulance." He said as he looked over at you with a confused look.

Immediately, a nervous look came over you as soon as he said that.

"Old habits die hard, I guess..." you chuckled, scratching your cheek.

You weren't lying. After all, whenever you got injured from illegal activity, your first instinct isn't going to be calling the authorities...

"Old habits...?" Midoriya muttered to himself as his eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

"So who's the kid anyways? Your son?" You said, cocking your head.

"No, no! He's just a kid I'm training!" He said before turning to the greenette and smiling.

"Young Midoriya, meet my new friend... um..." he gestured over to you, silently waiting for your response.

Your eyes widened a bit before thinking a bit.

"Um... (Y/n)..."
"What about your last name?" The kid said, cocking his head.

"Nah, just call me (Y/n). I don't really like giving out my full name..." you said as you looked over to the side.

"...(Y/n)..." Toshinori said to himself, feeling a wave of something pleasant wash over him.

'That is... I nice name...' he thought before shaking his head.

"How do you know her?"

"I- Uhhh, well we just kinda met at the beach... and... weeeeee just became friends..."
"But you didn't even know her name yet, All- Yagi!" Midoriya immediately slapped a hand over his face, looking over at you with wide eyes as you sat on your knees, staring at the kid in confusion.

'Damn it, kid!' Toshi thought as he watched you with a tensed stare.

"W-Well anyways, I got into U.A!" Midoriya said, trying to change the subject. Immediately, your eyes widened at this as you stared the kid down.

"U.A? That big Japanese school that's all about pumping out heroes?" You said, placing your hands on your lap as your interest grew.

"Y-Yes?" Midoriya said unsure.

You smiled a rather warm smile, stealing the air out of Toshinori.

't-that smile!' He thought as he clenched his boney hand over his chest.
