Boiling water

After getting your well deserved shower, you dried your hair off, breathing in a sigh before walking out of the bathroom.

Your cat, cherry bomb, trotted into your room with her tail high in the air, meowing as her collar jingled. You crouched down with your arms held open as your munchkin cat waddled  into your awaiting arms.

"There's my munchkin! Cherry bomb, baby~" you purred as you stood up, holding your fluffy, pink cat to your bare breasts, smiling lightly as her little red bell pressed into your skin.

"I don't see why you keep that infected rodent."

You sighed before turning towards a familiar beak-like mask.

"Overhaul, I thought you knew better than to break into people's houses." You said, holding your precious feline towards your face and kissing her.

"Also, Cherry is cat, not a rodent." You said, placing your baby on the floor and then standing straight to stretch your arms over your head.

Overhaul scoffed at this and scanned over your body quickly before looking towards the pictures of you and your cat on the wall.

"Get some clothes on, Black Panther." He said, not looking away from the picture on the wall.

"It's my house." You said simply before walking over to a plush couch, sitting in a rather unladylike position.

Overhaul's face seemed to crinkle at this as he watched you stretch a leg, revealing some... naughty things...

"Have you no shame?" He said while leaning against the wall of your living room.

"I don't need to be ashamed of myself if I'm INSIDE MY HOME." You emphasized, crossing your legs and resting your hands on your knees.

Overhaul uncrossed his arms and walked over to you before taking his jacket off and throwing it on your bare body.

"Oh? What's this? I thought you hated people touching your stuff." You said in a teasing tone while hugging the fairly clean jacket to your chest.

"I only gave you my coat so you wouldn't be a distraction." He said while looking away. He grabbed the mask's point, readjusting it slightly.

"A distraction? Why would I be distracting?" You said with a cheeky smile gracing your lips.

"I wanted to see how you're holding up." He said without hesitation. Your smile immediately fell as you found your mind wondering away to something... not so pleasing.

You stopped yourself from dwelling on the subject any further before looking up at your friend, who was now looking down at you with that familiar look of concern.

"It happened years ago, Kai, I'm over it. You should let go too." You said, holding the jacket towards your chest.

"Bullshit." Kai said as disgust washed over his concerned face.

He walked over to you before stopping after you flinched, holding his coat close to you. You looked at the floor with an distraught stare before trying to recollect yourself.

This didn't go unnoticed by Overhaul.

He sat on the floor and watched you quietly as you calmed your nerves. He wouldn't dare try to hug you for comfort. Not when you're thinking about... that.

"(Y/n)." He finally said.

You stared at your friend, waiting for him to continue.

"You can't keep pretending it didn't happen. Pushing it down and pretending isn't healthy, even I know that." He said.
