"...Always" He said.

I opened both of my eyes and lazily rubbed them. I stretched my body while sitting up resulting a few of my bones to make a cracking sound, you can say it's a habit for me to do that every morning.

I chuckled a bit but then I frowned.

"Man, that's weird. Why did I dreamt about that" I said to myself.

I never dreamt about what happened that day except the first few months I just moved here to California. It's somewhat bizarre that I got it just now, I don't want to think about the day I said goodbye to the boy. It's not like I'm trying to forget it but, It's just too painful for me to remember.

"How long is it now? I'm seventeen. 8 years huh"

I continued my elementary school until high school here at California, I have american accent even though I'm full Australian. I have a great life here in Cali, I always ranked either first or second in my class, and no, I don't actually study hard for that. I just happened to remember all of the things we studied in just a snap. I never tried hard in education.

I joined a band two years ago in school and I'm the drummer. My band is quite popular considering the girls in school loves us, like they completely went crazy the last time we performed. That's also why I got so many love letters and confessions but I politely rejected them all. I'm not exactly interested in a serious relationship and I think It's just complicated. I focus more on gaining friends.

I am now grade 11, people call me Ash and I have a lot of friends. I sit with the popular gang but honestly I'm the quietest there. I just laugh at their jokes, gets invited to a party, being flirted, and all that stuff though I love my life here, I'm enjoying it to the fullest.

I heard a knock from my door causing me to went back to reality.

"Yeah? I'm up who is it?" I raised my voice.

My mom opened the door and smiled at me, she was wearing her pink apron and I could smell the pancakes coming from the kitchen.

"Morning dear, I just made some pancakes want some?" My mom offered.

I smiled and got up my bed. I wore my slippers then made my way to the door.

"Sure" I grinned. As I was about to took another step towards the door my mom pushed me back slightly, she gave me a knowing look.

"What now?" I asked

"Wear some clothes will you, I don't want to have breakfast with you while your still on your boxers" My mom twisted my nipple.

"Ow! That actually hurt!" I hissed.

"Hurry up, or I'll eat all of the pancakes" My mom left.

Damn you woman, I took my tank top and pajama shorts that were laid on my desk. I unplugged my phone from the charger and checked the time. It was 10 AM.

I went downstair and sat in front of an island table that was in the middle of the dining room. My mom came and set down my plate which consist of 2 pancakes with peanut butter, raspberries, and some chopped bananas on top of it with no maple syrup, just the way I like it.

"Thanks" I smiled at her, She lightly kissed my head as I started to dig in my food.

It was Saturday which means I have no school and at last I could eat my breakfast in peace.

"So where's dad?" I asked, my mom took a carton of apple juice and pour it into my glass.

"Taking a shower upstairs, he'll be here any minute" She replied, she went back to the kitchen and started to take 2 plates for her and dad.
