Chapter 2: Beating the First World Like a Boss

When I got out of the sewer grate I saw the weird old guy from before.

???: THE OCTARIANS ARE COMING!

Rex: What?

???: I apologize, where are my manners? I am Cap'n Cuttlefish, leader of the legendary Squidbeak Splatoon. Also welcome to Octo Canyon, I need your help.

Rex: My name is Rex, and what do you need my help on?

Cap'n Cuttlefish: Well Rex, as you may know, The Great Zapfish is missing, but actually it was squidnapped by the Octarians. I am really old and I need help, and I have seen how good you are on turf wars. Will you please help me? I will even through some crazy cakes. The other kids think I am crazy.

Rex: Sure, I'll help you.

Cap'n Cuttlefish: Excellent. Now here is your hero suit and I shall name you Agent 3 of the New Squidbeak Splatoon. You can change in Cuttlefish cabin.

Rex: Wait, does that mean that there are an agent 1 and 2?

Cap'n Cuttlefish: Yes, of course! Besides the suit is there "hand me downs".

I went to the small cabin but in the inside it was bigger than I thought. After I changed I walked outside the cabin.

Cap'n Cuttlefish: You look excellent in it agent 3!

Rex: Really?

Cap'n Cuttlefish: Yes, now you have to find the mission kettles. Since they are invisible, you have to ink them to find them.

Rex: Okay, I mean how hard can it be?

3 minutes later...

I got out of the first kettle and I feel to the ground really tired while the Cap walked up to me.

Cap'n Cuttlefish: Get up lass! You still have two more to go.

Rex: Okay, but man that was such a challenge!

I walked around trying to find the next kettle, and then I found it. I have to admit each mission was harder then the next one.

After I finished the last two, the boss kettle opened.

Cap'n Cuttlefish: The boss kettle is open. Now get there and do your thing Agent 3.

Rex: Aye aye, Captain!

I entered the boss kettle and when I got out I saw some kind of arena. I super jumped to the arena and I saw the Zapfish, until a giant tentacle graved it and sucked it to the ground. Then, the ground started to shake and I saw the Mighty Octostomp.

Cap'n Cuttlefish (radio): Agent 3, try and shoot it's tentacle when you have the chance!

Rex: Copy that.

The giant stamp jumped on to me, but I dodged it. I painted it's side to swim to its tentacle. Then, I shoot it with my hero shooter and it exploded. The same process happened two more times, until I defeated the Octostomp. Then I grabbed the Zapfish, as I said.

Rex: Mission accomplished!

Cap'n Cuttlefish (radio): Good job agent 3! I can't believe the Octarians revived the Octo bots.

It's just so unbelievable!

??? (radio): Cuttlefish...

Cap'n Cuttlefish (radio): Hey Agent 3, what was that?

??? (radio): Cuttlefish...

Cap'n Cuttlefish (radio): Meh! It's probably nothing.

I got out of the boss kettle to see Cap'n Cuttlefish worried.

Rex: What's wrong?

Cap'n Cuttlefish: Oh! It's just that with the Octo bots back, Inkopolis isn't safe.

Rex: Don't worry! I will stop them, retrieve the Great Zapfish, and safe Inkopolis.

Cap'n Cuttlefish: Heh! You remind me of me when I was your age, Agent 3. But now, you must get some rest. And you can keep the suit.

Rex: Really?

Cap'n Cuttlefish: Sure!

Rex: Okay, see you tomorrow, Cap!

I walked to the sewer and transformed into a squid. When I got out it was night time and there was nobody. I walked to my apartment, and when I entered there was no one.

Rex: Oh well, guess JP is asleep...

???: Hi, big bro!
