Chapter 14- How I made my choice. To stay or to go.

Chapter 14

I wander the halls searching for
Luke with no luck. He's nowhere in the castle. I make my way outside thinking he could be outside.

I walk through the beautiful garden, past the trees toward the lake. I break through the trees to the lake.

That's when I see him staring out into the lake. I run towards him and huge him from behind.

"Oh Luke." I whisper into his back. He tenses up and doesn't relax once he realizes it's me. Which makes me worry.

Luke pulls away and turns around to look at me. His eyes are cold. I freeze. His eyes reminded me when he..oh no. My Luke. My previous Luke.

"Where did you go this morning?" I whisper.

"Was I supposed to stay with a one night stand?" He murmurs.

"Luke, Please. Don't-" I begin to say before I get cut off.

"Don't what Victoria?" Luke says stepping towards the tree.

"Don't bullshit me Luke. You love me, you said so last night and I know it's true. Something happened DIDNT its? Let's fix it ok? We can fix-"

"You humans are so funny. I confess my "undying love." and you drop your panties all on your own. It's your problem if you believed it." He laughs.

Lies. Luke knows how to lie so well.

"Luke Stop!!!" I yell. As I walk towards him and reach up to grab his face. I push his head down so my lips smash against him.

I kiss him with no respond but I feel Lukes hands become fists. I have him just the way I want him.

His lips respond after a little while of him fighting and our kiss becomes passionate. After a while we break free breathless.

"Oh god, it was so hard saying all those things to you. Fighting with you like that. Lying. I can't fight you anymore. Not after last night." Luke says resting his forehead on mine.

"Then why did you do it?"

"Because Nate loves you and I took you away." Luke says closing his eyes tight like he was in pain.

"Baby you didn't take me away, I went willingly." I murmur stroking his face.

"He's my best friend Victoria I can't hurt him like this."

I step back. "So you'll let us suffer, you and I. Just to make him happy? What kind of crap is that? I'm just ONE girl. He can always find another Luke! We shouldn't be giving up our happiness just because he loves me. Please."

"I can't. I just can't." Luke says pain written all of his face. "his a better choice for you. You'll be happy."

"But he isn't you!" I scream. Trying so hard to make him stay.

"If you love me you'll stay with him. you'll love him like he deserves. I know you can do that. I know you love him to."

"But I love you more, you're what I want." I whisper.

"Please." Luke says. Pain written on his face.

"I love you, so I'll fight for us. That's what love is. Never giving up. "

"No, our love is sacrifice. We will sacrifice our love to make Nate happy because that man deserves the sun and the moon."

Tears run down my face. As I watch him retreat. "Do that for me ok? Please I beg you."

I nod.

He lets a sigh of relief. "I'm leaving now, to go back home. I'll see you again for the wedding ok?" with that he looks at me once more and walks off towards the castle. Leaving me alone at the Lake.

Luke.

I make my way towards the castle. Trying so hard to keep the tears away. I straighten my face to one of indifference. I walk inside. To see Nate looking at me from up the stairs. His face torn.

Giving me motivation to do what I have to do next. " What's up?" I call out.

"Nice chat huh?" Nate says.

"Awkward actually. Victoria just confessed last night was a mistake. she never loved me apparently. She thought she did but she was wrong. She loves you man. That's what we were talking about. Feels weird having a girl say that I'm the one she doesn't want." I shrug. "but it is what it is."

"Go get her man." I say looking up Nate.

Nate's stun. Then he runs down the stairs out the door.

My face falls and make my way to my room.

Numbness takes over.

Nate.

I run outside as fast I can excited to have her in my arms again. I can't believe she choose me.

When I finally get to the lake, I see her on the floor crying. I crouch down and bring her into my arms.

"Are you alright?"

"Y-yes it was just hard you know. I regret everything."

With that I hold her as she cries. Whispering words of support.

Happy to have the women I loved in my arms.

I'm making a sequel.(: only problem is idk how to end this story.

I have two ending I really want to try but I don't know. But however it ends it won't change the fact they'll be a squeal. so I'll give it some thought. (:
