"Gentlemen," Eret said. "In L'Manberg I have grinded for a secret weapon." The battle was over and they were heading home after a long day.
"Ooooh," Tommy said.
"What is it?" Wilbur asked.
"This is the moment where Eret is just gonna pull out a giant missile," Fundy joked. They all laughed.
"Seriously though, what do you mean you've got a secret weapon?" Tommy asked.
"I've been grinding for so long. I've been grinding for equipment-"
"Show us! Show us please!" Tubbo said.
"Alright," Eret said. "This way gentlemen."
"What?" Tommy asked in surprise. There was a tunnel dug into the side of a small hill. It looked hastily constructed, bare rock and some ores were visible.
"I'm excited to show you," Eret said. "But first we all have to leave our armor and weapons out here. I'm afraid the metal could trigger my weapon, and that would be bad."
"Wow, then this must be a very complicated weapon," Fundy said. They did as they were told and made a small pile at the entrance of the tunnel.
"L'Manberg strong! They will never suspect a thing," Eret said. The tunnel was barely tall enough for them, they had to hunch over to avoid hitting their heads on the ceiling. None of them knew when Eret had had the time to make this.
They reached a small dark room made of netherite blocks. Inside were five chests around the perimeter, each labeled with one of their names. There was a single button in the center of the room. There was a sign that read "Final Control Room". There were many gasps.
"This is the final room, the final control room," Eret said.
Wilbur went to the chest with his name and opened it. "Eret, there are nothing in the chests," he said. He turned around. The weak light caught on Eret's sunglasses, making him look almost inhuman in the darkness. Just as Wilbur was about to ask his friend what was wrong, Eret pushed the button. Complete mayhem broke out. There was a huge explosion that sent the men flying off their feet. A chunk of the ceiling fell and Tubbo just managed to get out of its way.
"What?!" Wilbur screamed. "No! A traitor!" He could taste blood in his mouth. Out of pure instinct he rushed for the only exit, the small tunnel. He couldn't process things properly. He heard multiple screams of pain and terror, and heard Tommy shouting to get out. There was another explosion and everything flammable in the room burst into flames. Now they were limping down the tunnel. Tubbo tripped and Wilbur pulled him back up. Fundy was lagging behind and Tommy was ahead of them. They coughed from the dust. Wilbur glanced over his shoulder and felt like all the life had been sucked out of him. An entrance had opened in the back of the room. Next to Eret stood Dream himself and all his officers, George, Sapnap, Punz, they were all there dressed in full battle armor. Wilbur saw the triumphant look on Dream's face and heard one last sentence. "Down with the revolution boys," Eret said. "It was never meant to be." Then the ceiling collapsed on top of Fundy.
Wilbur heard screaming, maybe it was him, maybe it was all of them. Gentle, kindhearted, loving Fundy, was buried under a ton of rock. The very rock that separated them from Dream, but Wilbur did not feel safe. He knew that Dream's intention had been to kill them all, and he had succeeded to some extent.
Wilbur ran towards the spot where Fundy had disappeared. He heard Tubbo shouting, but kept digging. Someone was tugging on his arm. "We have to get out!" Tubbo screamed. Tears streaked down Wilbur's face and he felt like a rag doll, he was empty inside and let Tubbo pull him away. Everything looked wrong, like he was dreaming though he knew everything was real. Wilbur's feet moved by themselves and finally, they reached the end of the tunnel. They all collapsed onto the grass. Light blinded them and they filled their burning lungs with fresh air. Wilbur looked around. The pile Eret had told them to make just a few minutes before was no where to be found. All of their best armor and weapons were gone. Wilbur could see his friends were severely injured. He felt no physical pain yet, however his heart was a totally different story. His body shook with racking sobs. Fundy had been like a son to him. He was too young, too innocent. Wilbur remembered Fundy's laugh and his lovable Dutch accent, a voice he would never hear again. Wilbur pinched his own leg, he should have saved Fundy! He saw that his friend was lagging behind yet he was too selfish and kept running. Then he thought of Dream. Too many things were going through Wilbur's mind, but he had one clear thought, Fundy is dead, Eret has betrayed us.
Author's Note: Ahhh I'm so sorry Fundy!!! I'm sorry if anyone is mad at me (he's not going to respawn). I had to, it wouldn't be realistic if no one died. Anyways, OMG we're at 1k reads!
