Katsuki swam through the water, the memories of his daughter entering his mind as he followed the manta rays. Kirishima followed closely behind him. It didn't take the two long to figure out that these sting rays belonged to Overhaul. Katsuki was ready to kill the damn wizard. This wizard wasn't like Shigarki. The wizard actually had a perfect plan, using his daughter, his daughter who had no idea about how much danger she was actually in.
He knew he had to protect, he knew he had to save her, he knew if he didn't he was going to lose his daughter. Katsuki didn't know a lot about Overhaul, but what he had heard about him made Katsuki worry. It seemed Overhaul was incredibly cruel. Killing for fun, sport. Not caring who lives he was ruining. Katsuki squeezed the locket that he was holding in his hand. He just wanted to hug his daughter, let her know he was sorry for not telling her the truth. It was his fault after all. He just wanted to protect her, but he should have known he wasn't going to be able to keep Katsuki from the sea.
This was his daughter so he should have known. He felt like such a idiot for not realizing it sooner. Katsuki, however, knew he couldn't throw himself a pity party at the moment, that would be one of the worst thing to do at the moment.
"Bakubro." Kirishima whispered, getting Katsuki attention.
"What shitty fins?" He whispered, trying to stay quiet so the manta rays don't notice them following.
"You need to relax a little. You look like you are gonna lose it."
"Can you blame me? My fucking daughter is missing, probably with that overhaul bastard and I can't really do anything to protect her till we get there. I should have realized sooner. I swear if that bastard hurts a single hair on her head I will tear his fucking head off from his body." He says, trying his best to stay quiet as he let out a growl.
Kirishima chuckled at his friend, "Still haven't changed."
"What?"
"You are still the same as you were back then. Maybe just a little more protective of your family."
Katsuki rolled his eyes, he didn't care what the fish had to say about him, there wasn't time for that. But the fish was right. He was still pretty similar to past him. But there was definitely more differences between them. He was more mature, he was able to control his anger better, he knew how to show emotions, well only around his family, finally he didn't blame himself or his father for the death of his mother. He was able to move past it.
(Y/N) helped him a lot with it. He was grateful for her. He doesn't think he would be sane if something were to happen to her. He probably kill whatever hurt her. Like you know....a table she stubs her toe on. That sounds crazy, but in his opinion it was a shitty table and it caused his wife pain so...it begin destroyed is a good thing,
No one ever thought he would be a family man, no one tried to look past his awful personality. There was so much more to him. Even now a lot of people only see him as a angry asshole, now yes, that is true to a extent, but that was only a small part of him.
He shook his head as he saw a outline of a small girl going into the cave. He knew it was Katsumi, but he didn't know what to do. He looked at Kirishima and knew they had to come up with a plan and fast.
