Chapter 11: Clover Chase

"You did WHAT?" I scream over all the commotion.

Chiron and Missy were arguing, that one boy, Connor Stoll or something, and Liam were talking, and Will was in the infirmary, we were home at last.

"YOU BROUGHT A DEMIGOD HERE?!" I heard Chiron say.

"I said that I told dad that we are staying with him this summer." Annabeth explained.

"WHY THE HADES WOULD YOU DO THAT?!" I scream.

"BECAUSE!" Annabeth screamed back.

Will came out, his face pale. We all turned to him. "Percy will be fine." He announced.

We all sighed in relief.

"He better be okay or ima kill someone..." Missy threatened.

"It was Luke." Annabeth said quietly.

Missy started laughing sarcastically while I raged.

"WE TOLD YOU!" I shouted.

"YOU DIDN'T BELIEVE US!" Missy screamed at Chiron.

Chiron sighed. "SILENCE!" Chiron shouted, his voice cracking. We all quieted.

"Clover take Liam back to his new cabin. Missy, a word." he walked inside the Big House.

I looked at Liam, that Stoll boy still hanging around him.

"Stoll, you need to go back to your cabin." I say fiercely.

"It's Connor. And no, I don't." He says defensively.

"Con- Stoll." I say. "Go back to your cabin."

"My cabin is Hermes, so I will walk with you guys."

I sighed dramatically, but Liam took off towards the Hermes cabin.

"Well, bye then!" I say, beginning to follow him.

But he followed me.

"Don't follow me Stoll." I groaned.

"Clo, I am gonna follow you no matter what." Conner said.

"What if I kicked you in the groin?" I mutter.

"I'd still follow you." He said, walking quickly to keep up with me.

I sigh. "Fine. If anything, if you are going to follow me, let us AT LEAST be acquaintances."

"Friends?"

"Fine."

He smiled satisfactorily.

I sighed. "So. You're Connor Stoll, huh?"

"The one and only."

"Clover Chase." I stopped and turned, facing him, holding my hand out. He grabbed it. "It was meant to be a handshake-" I laugh.

He blushed. "Oh," he shook my hand instead and began walking again.

I shake my head slightly, laughing, then followed him. I stopped at the doorway, leaning against the frame.

"Well, see ya around Clo." he smiled, waving awkwardly.

I gave him friendly kiss on his cheek.

He blushed and turned away, going to his bunk.

"IT WAS A FRIENDLY KISS, NOTHING ELSE!" I say loudly, the entire cabin hearing and laughing. I blush this time, leaving quickly.

Later that day, Annie and I prepared to leave. I had this terrible urge to stay here.

"Annie, you sure about this?" I ask. She nods, then begins walking towards the car.

I follow her, hugging Missy, Will and Liam and giving Connor an awkward wave. He waved back, smiling. I turned and ran to the car.

"SHIIIPP!" I heard Missy scream, and I blushed, getting in the car.

My dad immediately turned around. "Who was that?" He immediately asked.

"Why would you care?" I say coldly, facing the window.

"Because, I'm your father!"

"NO YOU'RE NOT!" I shout, getting out of the car.

"Clover Anne Chase, get in this car NOW." I saw Annie motion for me to come back in, but I shook my head and began running back to camp.

He got out of the car, yelling at me, but I kept running, going to the one worst cabin possibly imagine going to.

"Clo?" Connor looked at me, concerned.

I broke down into tears, unable to hold the emotions back any longer.

He hugged me gently and I shook my head.

"I shouldn't be here." I say, getting up, but he held me down, still hugging me.

"Connor-"

"No. You are gonna tell me what happened." he said. And I nodded, telling him the entire story.

When I finished, he hugged me tighter. But I pushed him away, being stupid. I ran to the Athena cabin and curled up on my bunk, crying.
