"What happened in the kitchen?" Asked Arafat, as the families sat down for dinner

"Zay and Riiqa happened" said Rafi'a rolling her eyes, as Zayn smiled guiltily and Harriqa looked down sweating.

"So how's work boys?" Ali Asked Zayn and Samaar, who was staring at his food

"Alhamdulilah!" Zayn for both of them after he realised Samaar's attention wasn't with them

"Samaar?" Rafi'a called his attention, but he didn't respond until Zayn kicked him under the table

"Yeah?" He said confused, he almost got up before Zayn held him down

Since the fight Lian and Samaar had at Harriqa's house, Samaar has been distant and hasn't been talking a lot. And Lian shut it down and refused to talk about it, she said "I will heal silently without worrying anyone" their friends were sad that they didn't open up to them but they kept quiet not pushing them.

"Why are you not eating son?" She asked him slowly

"And Lian too why are you guys not eating?" Asked Ranim Making Everyone look at them..Lian immediately send a small smile, putting her hands on the table.

"Is everything ok?" Lian looked up to find Samaar staring at her emotionally

"Yeah, finee..n I was just thinking about the kid in the hospital" said Lian covering up

"And I was thinking about work!" Said Samaar smiling a little

"Okay, forget about all that and eat" they nodded and started eating

"You both only have rice on your plates, what will you like to add?" Ranim asked looking at both of them 

"Chicken salad" They both said in unison, Samaar looked up to Lian and they locked eyes looking at each other, immediately Lian looked away. Samaar felt hurt that she was still mad at him but didn't say anything and continued eating. Deciding not to make the seating more awkward.

"So Lian and Harriqa where are you guys going to work after school?"

"I will be working at the city hospital, they offered to take us in both Lian and I, but Lee said she will be going back to Durban"

"You are going back to Durban?" Zayn asked Samaar's mind question, she nodded choking on her food

"What about Marriage?" Asked Arafat

"Yeah now tell us, before when we asked you, you said ' let's finish school first' so?" Ranim mimicked their Voices

"Well..." Harriqa tried to find an excuse

"I heard your mother has been getting a lot of proposals for you" Samaar kept his spoon down slowly

"Yeah..that's what she said" she Lian glancing at Samaar

What did you say? Did you agree?? Ya Allah this stressing more like hurting and i can't take it!

"So did you check with any of them? Where are they from? Are they good? Do-" Rafi'a started talking but Samaar cuts her off

"I have to receive this call, it's from the office sorry! " he immediately got up and left the table. And soon they changed the conversation, after giving each other awkward stares. Lian looking down the table, trying to understand what just happened. The elders got caught up in their conversations to notice the that the kids left the table.
