You're Worth It

Third Person POV

It was pretty late at night, almost midnight. Harry finally decided to go find Draco after watching him on the map for a while. He ended up leaving his dormitory ten minutes prior, so Harry wanted to make sure he was okay.

He left the dormitory with his wand and the map. Harry made his way as silently as possible down to the courtyard where Draco was.

The cool night air rested on his bronze skin. A velvet blanket covered the sky with small specks of stars scattered about and the moon shining brightly above. Draco sat on the ground in front of one of the benches. Harry took a deep breath and wrapped his arms around himself.

"Hey," Harry said quietly startling Draco. The other male relaxed when he realized it was just Harry.

"Hi," Draco replied. He shivered and rubbed his arms. Harry took off the jumper covering his long sleeve shirt and helped Draco put it on.

"But you'll be cold," The boy whispered. Harry shrugged. "I'll be okay."

Draco smiled and muttered a small thanks. He pulled the oversized sweater sleeves over his hands so he had sweater paws.

Harry's heart melted.

"So why did you come out here?" Harry asked. Draco bit his lip and pulled his knees to his chest. "They night is comforting," he said simply. There was many reasons the night was comforting to Draco, but words wouldn't be able to explain the feeling.

Harry smiled softly and couldn't resist the urge to move the strand of hair out of Draco's eyes. He tucked it behind his ear and rested his hand against the blond's cheek.

Draco leaned into the touch and turned his head to look at Harry. Draco stared into the shimmering green eyes, feeling lost in them.

Harry leaned in and captured Draco's lips for a passionate yet gentle kiss suddenly. Draco's eyes fluttered shut and he kissed back with just as much passion.

Draco raised his sweater covered hands to rest on the back of Harry's neck, pulling him closer. His thin fingers toyed with the hair on the back of his head.

Harry slowly pulled away and rested his forehead against Draco's. He didn't want to open his eyes just yet, incase there was something in those silver eyes that he didn't want to see. For now, he just wanted to stay in the moment.

Harry felt Draco's hot breath against his lips as he let out a shaky breath. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done that," Harry whispered.

"I've wanted to do that since sixth year. Don't be sorry," Draco whispered back. Harry opened his eyes and found Draco's staring into his with just as much love as he felt.

His heart gave a leap of joy.

He couldn't help himself, so he gave Draco another kiss. Draco smiled happily into it.

Harry grinned when they pulled away. "I have also. When you went away with Snape, is when I realised. I spent a lot of time while on the run watching the map to make sure you were okay, as creepy as it may sound." His smile faded from his face, "I don't know what I would have done if you had died."

Harry didn't even know he was crying till Draco wiped away the few tears with his thumbs. His skin is so soft, Harry thought.

Draco traced Harry's bottom lip with his thumb. "I'm right here. And I don't plan on going anywhere."

And again, just because he couldn't help himself, Harry placed a quick kiss on Draco's cheek.

Draco laughed lightly and entwined his fingers with Harry's. He used his free hand to lightly trace his knuckles and leaned his head on the boy's shoulder.

Draco sighed and looked out across the courtyard. "Who would have know that after being enemies for seven years could change now?"

Harry hummed. "And change so quickly. I never wanted to be enemies, but after you spoke that way to Ron I didn't like how you acted."

"He still doesn't like me, does he?" Draco frowned, remembering that time in the library.

Harry sighed. "Not really, no. But he'll come around."

Draco looked back at Harry sadly. "No one really likes me now. I don't really know why you do."

Harry lifted Draco's chin slightly to look him in the eyes. "You're amazing. We might not have gotten along well from the start but it was you who decided to steal my heart. Not anyone else. You're worth it, Draco."

Draco smiled and kissed Harry's soft lips. "Thank you," he murmured against them.

Harry smiled against his lips.

Draco and Harry decided to keep their relationship a secret for a bit. Harry knew his friends (other than Hermione and Luna) still didn't feel very comfortable with Draco.

It's been a few days since they admitted their feelings and things have been going well since then.

Draco sat down on the couch in their empty common room next to Harry. Harry smiled at him and kissed his forehead.

"Hullo," Harry said. He layed back so his head rested in Draco's lap and Draco ran his fingers through his messy black hair.

"How was your day?" Draco asked. Harry closed his eyes and hummed. "Good. Your's?"

Draco didn't respond, so Harry opened his eyes. He smirked when he saw Draco staring at his lips. "Like something you see?"

Draco blushed a bit. Harry sat up and pulled him into a kiss, that didn't work out too well because of their huge grins, not noticing the common room portrait swing open and Harry's friends and Draco's friends climb through.
