Third P.O.V

After Danny hadn't found Freddy in the forest, he walked to the carnival. All the lights were on, making it look like the place was open.

Danny walked through the abandoned circus, looking for his friend. He looked on all the rides, all the booths draped with cheap striped cloth but found nothing.

There were tools and small equipment scattered throughout the park, free for the taking. He was tempted to grab some of the smaller items, but decided against it as it would waste his time.

He sighed heavily, almost giving up on who he was looking for. He walked in the direction that he believed was the exit of the circus.

Suddenly he caught a movement out of the corner of his eye, and turned to see a cage in between two tents. Inside the cage, he saw the back of a humanoid figure sitting down, playing with the hem of their shirt.

"Hello?" Danny's tail wagged nervously.

The figure jumped up and immediately scurried to the other side of the cage.

"I-I'm not gonna hurt you! I swear.." Danny insisted, his pointed dog ears facing the figure with curiosity, searching for more information.

The figure, relaxed a bit, his shoulders dropping. Slowly they made their way over to Danny, who was now staring, waiting for the light to hit the suspicious "human".

"D-Danny? I-is that really you?!"

The figure was now in the light, holding onto the bars with both hands, tears welling up in his eyes. The fuzzy orange ears with the black tips were unmistakable. As soon as the two recognized each other, they both burst into relieved tears.

"Oh Danny! I'm so happy to see you! H-hurry, grab the orange key and unlock the door!"

Freddy beamed joyfully. He couldn't believe he was getting rescued, and he couldn't believe his friends were looking for him. Well, friend. He didn't know Zizzy, Penny, and Rebecca were looking for him as well.

With a quick nod, Danny ran, looking for the orange key. He had noticed it earlier on one of the cash grabbing rigged booths.

"Aaaand....there!" He exclaimed as he found it right where he thought he had seen it.

He grabbed the key and ran back. His hands shook with excitement, which made it difficult to guide the key into place. But he finally managed to get it unlocked and the door swung open. Freddy ran and hugged Danny so energetically that they both almost fell to the ground. Freddy laughed between tears, overjoyed with his rescue.

"Thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou" There weren't enough "thank yous" in the world to cover how glad Freddy was to be free. Danny laughed and hugged Freddy back.
