Danny's P.O.V
I sighed, patting her shoulder. She looked confused and scared, probably because she didn't know what was going on. She is not gonna take this well..
"Look, that's really sweet of you but, I just don't like you back. And this whole infection thing? We need to worry about surviving, not jealousy and crushes.." I stated, retreating my hand back to my side.
She looked down and fiddled with her fingers, muttering an 'oh..'. I said sorry and went back to sitting with Freddy. He hugged my arm and giggled, making me smile.
"What happened?" He asked.
"Oh, Rebecca needed to know something, that's all!"
He nodded, laying his head down on my lap. I blushed and tensed, but relaxed almost immediately. The other decided they were going to sleep and turned off the lantern. Freddy looked peaceful where he was, chest slowly coming up and down to signal he was breathing. (Bruh that sounded so weird)
No matter how hard I tried to convince myself, I couldn't move him. What if I woke him up? He just now started sleeping, and I think sleeping in a cage with no soft surface could make you sore. I laid down while petting Freddy's hair.
I eventually fell asleep, Freddy still clinging close to me.
