THIRD P.O.V

"Come on George, we need to go-" Penny said in a rushed tone, tugging at her little brothers hand as she tried to pull him outside of the house.

"N-no! I can't leave mommy and daddy! T-they're just sick, that's all! We can take care of them a-an-and—" George tried arguing with his sister but was ultimately interrupted by her much to his dismay.

"George! There is no saving mom and dad! They're gone! They were infected and we can't save them! Now come, before you get sick as well."

Penny started to cry as her brother tried getting her to stay. She knew he was just young and stupid and didn't know what was going on but it annoyed her. She picked him up and ran with him in a hurry to a group of kids that consisted of Rebecca, Richard, Susie, Danny, Freddy, Pedro, Mandy, Zizzy, and Zizzy's two little sisters.

She got a message before hand that Zizzy was collecting all the kid survivors so that's why she was rushing. That and because both of their parents were inside the house trying to get to the two siblings. They were like zombies. They didn't respond to anything. Not even pain! Penny tried throwing a dish at her daddy's head to maybe stun him but it was like it didn't even hit him. That made Penny worry more.

She gripped her brother and bat tightly, looking at all of their weapons the other kids had, ready to use them at any given moment.

Danny had an axe he found in his dads tool shed, Freddy had a large kitchen knife, Zizzy had a fencing sword, Pedro had a wooden sword that could easily penetrate something as the wood was very sharp, Rebecca had a crossbow, and Susie had a sledge hammer. Mandy didn't have an item to use as a weapon, but she was prepared to be as vicious as need be with her fists. Penny was speaking from experience, Mandy definitely knew how to use her fists in a fight.

"Come on George, it'll be okay.." Mandy cooed, patting him on his head with a slight smile. She knew the kids were worried so she tried to calm all of them down and try to explain the situation they were in as dumbed down as she could. She knew the kids were smart though.

George slowly nodded and Penny set him down. He grabbed his sisters hand as him and Penny walked with the group. They were all mostly human, but with the ears and tails of animals. Pigs, rabbits, zebras, sheep, a pony, a dog, and a fox. The fact that they were all hybrids had nothing to do with the spreading virus though, it was simply the way the world was for them.

Little George thought about his favorite toy he had left at the house. It was a small green dinosaur he got for his 3rd birthday. Although he didn't play with it as much anymore he still missed it and the memories he had with it. He was so caught up in all the running and screaming around him he must've forgotten the small toy but now it was in his mind yet again.

When they finally came to a halt, it was in front of a small bunker. The opening was small but just big enough for all of them to squeeze inside and hide. When they opened the door in the ground the sound that accompanied it was a small but loud 'screeeeee'. The smaller kids jumped and covered their ears. It reminded them all of the school chalkboard whenever the teacher wrote on it and it made their teeth hurt. It was so weird.

The bunker itself was very big inside, even though from the outside it looked like it could only fit two people. They all flooded in, immediately thinking of something to do. After a few minutes or so, Zizzy walked in the middle of the room and spoke in a stern voice to draw everyone's attention onto her,

"I have a plan guys. We all need some supplies right now so it would only make sense if some of us go out there and look for anything we absolutely NEED. No personal belongings that won't help. If that's alright with ya'll." Zizzy told the group, hoping they would agree.

"The younger ones stay with Pedro, Penny and Mandy. The rest of us look for food, water, blankets and pillows." She concluded, looking around the room for someone, anyone, to say something to her about the plan.

"I want to come Zizzy! Rebecca can stay here." Pedro said. He didn't want to leave Zizzy's side, a small crush that had been forming for years was still there and it took over him. He wanted to protect Zizzy as well. He knew she could handle it but just in case?

Rebecca was thankful she didn't have to go out, she made a mental note to thank Pedro when he got back. They all nodded in agreement as the four set out to scavenge for such supplies. They climbed back up and out of the bunker, flooding to different places that might've not been infested with the 'sick'.

Pairs when to the grocery store while other pairs went inside of houses and malls. To be more specific though, Zizzy and Pedro went to a mall and made sure to grab just enough items as they could. Blankets and pillows and even some toys to keep the smaller children occupied. Danny decided to go alone, thinking that another person was just gonna slow him down. Of course he could trust his friends but he also didn't want to risk it. He raided a few houses close to them and ventured more out in case they all missed something important. The rest were like the others, going in shops and houses and raiding them of what they had or could use.

Even though they were at different places though they all felt the same thing. For themselves and others. Fear. They didn't know how all of this happened and they didn't even know what to do. They were grateful to have a leader kind of friend or else they all would just be most likely dead or sucked into the virus.
