Running on the familiar Parisian roofs, feeling the wind rushing through her hair and ruffling her bangs was not something new to her anymore. It was now a part of her. A part of her that she had come to accept and love. But she was rudely brought back to reality with the third beep of her earrings.
"Only two spots left." She whispered.
Racing across the rooftops trying to reach the bakery before time ran out, she threw her yoyo onto the furthest chimney and leapt into the air retracting the yoyo from its hold. With the bakery in her sight, her Miraculous signalled its final warning. Leaping into the air and detransforming in mid-air, Marinette safely landed on her balcony.
"Phew! That was a close save." Marinette exclaimed brushing the bangs out of her eyes.
Marinette jumped down onto her bed through the trap door and slid down the railing of the steps leading down her room. Twirling across the room and slumping onto her pink chair, Marinette grabbed the homework Miss Bustier had given her class that day.
Deciding to take a little break before starting the homework, Marinette switched on her computer to find Nadja Chamack live on TV.
"Once again, Ladybug and Cat Noir have saved Paris from the clutches of a menacing villain. T-" She began.
Not wanting to hear more, she switched off the computer and focused on her homework.
"Ladybug saved Paris from destruction once again, but who's gonna save Marinette from her homework?" Marinette asked Tikki who was happily munching on a cookie on the bluenette's shoulder.
The ladybug kwami simply smiled at Marinette and continued to eat her cookie. Marinette was halfway through her homework when her phone got a notification from the Ladyblog. And that could mean only one thing. Alya had updated her famous blog with the defeat of Hawk Moth's newest villain. Shaking her head at her best friend's dedication to her blog, Marinette went online to see what was up on her blog.
As expected, it was a video of Chat Noir and Ladybug saving Paris once again. Marinette, being the best friend of the Ladyblog's owner had her own advantages. Marinette could always see what she had posted and had all the intel of what she was going to post on there. And that intel was just what Ladybug needed. And it's just what Hawk Moth needed too.
Alya had a lot of theories on Ladybug, Chat Noir and the other superheroes. Being a superheroine herself, Alya wouldn't let the topic regarding the Miraculous go. Even though she had promised she wasn't going to do any more researches on Ladybug and Chat Noir as it would jeopardize their secret identities, Marinette knew that she was still on the hunt for more clues.
"-nette? Marinette?!" Shouted Tikki from Marinette's shoulder.
"Huh? What?" Marinette asked Tikki.
"You were asleep!"
"I'm sorry, Tikki. I promise it won't happen again." Promised Marinette.
Meanwhile, Chat Noir was racing for his life. He had to be home in less than two minutes and his Miraculous was on its last minute.
"Please don't do this to me, Plagg." Chat Noir begged running faster, the Agreste mansion only a few blocks away.
With one quick push from his stick, Chat Noir jumped into his washroom and detransformed into the famous Adrien Agreste.
"Now. Where's my cheese?" Asked Plagg.
"It-"
"Adrien?" Called Natalie.
"Oh! Coming Natalie!" Adrien called from inside his washroom.
It was a busy day for young Mr Agreste that day. First an early morning photoshoot, school, and then superhero duties.
