Alexander Hamilton was a demigod. Child of Athena to be exact. While being a demigod was hard on most, it barely fazed Alexander. He wasn't necessarily close with anyone outside of Camp-Half Blood, a camp for Greek demigods. He followed all the guidelines that Chiron, director of the camp, put out for them, he never strayed to anything that would get him in trouble. He was a role model for all the newcomers at camp. Alexander normally stayed at camp all year round, this year was different.

"I found a family for you to stay with," Chiron had said, "You barely interact with anyone here, the change will be good for you."

"But what happens if there's an attack? Not many demigods are at camp this time around you need all the help you can get!" Alexander argued back.

"I'm sure we can manage a few months without you, now go get packing." Alex tried to say more but Chiron had left giving him no choice but to turn around and pack his things.

Chiron had sent him to live with the Livingstons, a wealthy family who was happy to take him in. As he would learn, Mrs. Livingston was, in fact, a demigod who was more than happy to help Alexander around. Mrs. Livingston's daughter, Catherine or "Kitty" Livingston, also took a quick liking to Alexander. Kitty was sheltered from the world of mythology and had no idea of her mother's roots so Alex decided to stray from bringing it up. They easily got along, spending all day together up until school started.

That's when everything started to go downhill, it seemed. Kitty introduced Alexander to all her friends, one of them being Eliza Schuyler. After getting to know her Alex decided that he really really liked her. And so they went on their first "date" at a small ice cream parlor. Alexander wasn't sure if they were there as friends or not but he wasn't complaining. They had spent the time chatting away about current events, school, and other nonsense that made them laugh.

"Oh, I got a new book!" Eliza had chimed, "it seems like something you'd like so..." She pulled out a book on Greek mythology. Alex suddenly got a nervous feeling but kept a smile as he listened to Eliza rant on about it. This was the first of many occurrences where Eliza would bring up Greek mythology to him.

It started with small things. New books, going to museums, looking at art. To Kitty, Angelica Schuyler, and Peggy Schuyler, it just seemed like a new obsession. She talked to everyone about it. Then she started narrowing it down on Alexander. "So who's your favorite Greek God?" She would ask. Alex would shrug. "I've never been that into mythology," he'd reply, which this was, of course, a lie, but Eliza was freaking him out.

What if she knows, he thought. There wasn't a way she could. Nothing about his family had even ever been brought up to make her suspicious. Maybe she really does just like mythology, he'd tell himself, but he didn't really believe himself.

Soon, fall break rolled around. That week Alexander would be heading back to camp until school started up again.

"So what are you guys doing for break!" Peggy exclaimed at lunch that Friday before break.

"Nothing, unfortunately, but Alex here has plans doesn't he." Kitty nudged Alexander's side and he chuckled nervously looking over at Eliza.

"Oh what plans?" Peggy asked.

"I'm going to a camp..." Alex trailed off as Eliza looked up at him.

"What kind of camp?" Eliza asked. It was an innocent question, but it scared Alexander.

"Just a camp."

Eliza shrugged and pulled out her book.

She knows, she knows. I know she knows this is a little too weird I don't know how she would know but she does-

"I hope you have fun then, we'll be stuck here," Peggy said, snapping Alex out of his thoughts.

"Oh yeah of course."

The bell rang and everyone packed up beginning to move their separate ways. "Hey Alex! Come over here!" Eliza waved Alex over to her. He swallowed nervously and went over to her. She waited until the hall was empty to speak.

"So, camp half-blood?" Those words had Alex about to pass out.

"H-how did- what?" His hand were shaking and his palms were sweaty so he doubted he could play this off. How did she know!?

"Don't play dumb, I know you're a demigod, why else do you think I've been so stuck up in mythology?"

"Wha-"

"I overheard a conversation you had with Mrs. Livingston. She said something about a camp for demigods. I did a little of my own research and went up there myself and found it myself."

"How'd you get past the mist!?"

"I don't know what that is but, I couldn't believe in a camp for kids of Greek Gods so I got close to you got a Greek mythology book and invited you out to get a reaction, which worked, might I add."

"Oh so that's what that was." Alex's face was on fire.

"I always felt there was something odd about you and I suppose this was it."  Eliza shrugged. "Well nice to meet you, demigod Alexander." She laughed and waved before walking off.

Alex stood in complete shock. Of course Eliza found out. She must be able to see through the mist, that must be it. It was truly amazing.
