On the other side of the river , Arciel's group were just sitting . The girls didn't want to go yet. They wanted to stay there for a while. Arciel knew they were hungry but had no food to eat . They had plenty of water coming from the river , they could drink as much as they wanted .
"Girls , how long do you plan on sitting here? " Arciel asked .
"No , idea at all . I don't want to walk anymore . " Kaye said .
"Me ,too. " Angelie agreed .
"Well , if you want to stay here , might as well find something to eat. " Mercy said.
"And how are we going to do that? " Angelie asked.
"We'll find anything edible in here . We're inside the forest , so it's possible to find fruit trees . " Mercy replied.
"Oh ,right . That's a good idea ." Kaye said .
"So , who's going to find fruit trees? Definitely ,not me. My legs refuse to walk . " Angelie said.
"It's okay . Just stay here . Mercy and I will go . " Arciel said .
"Thank you . You're a life saver bro . " Angelie said .
"But , you need to make a fire. " Arciel added .
Then they went to find any fruit trees .
The remaining girls looked at each other with confused expression.
They had no idea where to get a matchstick or a lighter.
"So, what do we do now? " Kaye asked .
" Maybe , let's just get firewood . And tell them we couldn't produce any form of fire. " Angelie said .
"Have you remembered our history lessons before? Our ancient forefathers used stone to build a fire . " Kaye said .
"Which stone? Maybe we can try it . "
Kaye nodded .
They started picking stones. They couldn't distinguish which stone was the correct one .
Meanwhile Arciel and Mercy were still searching for any fruit they could eat . They've been searching for half an hour already .
"Wait , Arciel! Is that a banana tree? " Mercy asked .
They looked at each other then ran closer to it .
"Banana trees indeed ! " Arciel exclaimed .
Arciel climbed the banana tree and picked the fruit using a pointed bamboo .He threw it to Mercy but Mercy wasn't able to catch it . It was heavy . She gave Arciel an angry look . Arciel just smiled .Then , he slowly went down from the tree . When he reached the ground , Mercy immediately gave him the bananas . Then, they headed back to where their friends at.
"Do you think they'd already built a fire? "Arciel asked .
" Speaking of that , the lighter is in my pocket . I forgot to give it to them . "
"Don't worry about it . They can do it when we reached there ."
As they were approaching, they couldn't see Angelie and Kaye . They got nervous all of a sudden .Did something happen while they're gone?
"Angelie! Kaye!" they both shouted .
"Where are you guys? "
"We're here ." Angelie said . The girls were at the river .
"What are you two doing there? " Mercy asked ."You got us worried . "
They just smiled.
"We were looking for a stone which can be used to build fire . " Kaye replied .
"What? Who gave you that idea? "
" It was my idea . Sorry . " Angelie said .
"It's okay .You don't have to do that. I have a lighter here . "
