Arciel and Justine just watched their friends happily talking with each other . It was a good view to see after almost getting drowned , Justine thought . Arciel , on the other hand , was still processing the events that just happened . It was very fast .
"Guys , do you have plans to stay here for long? We can always stay here for another night . " Arciel suggested .
The girls looked at him with angry faces .
"What do you mean? " Kaye asked .
"Well , I just want to say that we need to go now . We haven't left this place since last night . " he replied.
"Are you worried? It's okay . We can go home safe . " Mercy assured him .
Arciel just chose to shut his mouth . He didn't want to argue with the girls . It's pointless .
"See? That's why you need to chill sometimes . " Justin said . " If they don't want to go home yet , let them be. "
"But ---------------------------------------"
"It's okay ciel . " Justin interrupted him . "Believe me , after 10 seconds they'll stand and tell us to go . "
Arciel looked at him in disbelief .
Justin just smiled , then started counting . " 10 , 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4 ,3 ,2 ,1. "
"Let's go everyone . Time's running . " Mercy said .
They gathered all their things. They were ready to go .
Arciel walked beside Justine and whispered . " How did you know it? "
"I just knew ." he replied .
"May I have your attention everyone! " Mercy said . " I have good news for all of us. Earlier , I heard sounds of motorcycles and cars which meant we're near the highway. If I'm not mistaken , that would be 200 meters away from here . "
"Are you sure? " Angelie asked .
"You're not kidding ,right? " Jyrra seconded.
"Of course not ." she replied .
"Yes! " they shouted happily .
They were now heading to the main road when they saw helicopters flying above them . They saw uniformed men inside . They were wondering whether a war broke out . They were confused . They looked at Arciel and Justin but the boys just shrugged their shoulders . Instead of asking questions , they continued to walk . When they saw the cemented road , they all ran excitedly .
"Yes! Yes! We made it! " the boys jumped while the girls laughed .
"I thought , I would be stucked there for a long time. " Angelie said .
"It's okay Gelie . You can now smile and laugh freely . You can still cry if you want . " they teased her .
"By the way , do you think our other friends also made it out of the forest? " Jyrra asked .
"That's a really difficult question. But we're YOLO , right? " they nodded in response. " Then , they can make it . We can do anything as long as we're together. " Kaye said .
"Yeah . They have each other's back. They're not alone. " Justin said .
"And we are here praying for their safety . " Jyrra added .
Those words encouraged them . They felt relaxed while waiting for their friends. Though , they're not sure how long they would wait .
Then , they heard noises from above .
One of the helicopter flew back . It was flying low. They could clearly see how many people were inside .
"Wait! I thought , all of them were in uniform earlier . " Jyrra exclaimed .
"And some of them are quite young to be soldiers. " Angelie added .
