Chapter Thirteen : The Birth of A Mystery Club

Present time ....................................

Team YOLO went back to their respective schools after the incident . Their parents had no idea what had happened to them . They just thought they were bonding together .
The team decided to make an official club that solved mysterious cases involving the forest . They called it " The Mystery Club".Each member had a specific task . For the research department: Melchi , Mercy and Justine ; Back up - Angelie and Arciel ; Food and equipment - Jyrra; Field - Angelica , Kaye, Pamela and Vincent .
They also created a social media page with the research department as the admin. The club worked only on weekends. Their club was also a secret from their families and schools.
Everyday , the research department checked the messages on their page and would select the case every Thursday  night after conducting research . Every case , Vincent was accompanied alternately by the three girls . Club rule stated that no field mission would occur without Vincent . In any case , he would not be available ,the back up department would take the mission .

Balimaya High School

Angelica , Pamela and Kaye were very excited to attend their classes again . Angelica had been absent for two days last week while Pamela and Kaye were absent for one day .

Ring , ring , ring ......................................

The bell had finally rung . Their classmates already settled down on their seats . After a while , their homeroom teacher entered the room . The teacher just gave announcement and seatwork . She also asked those students who were absent last week without permission to write a letter of explanation . Then she left the room.
"Goodness!  What reason will I write here ?" Angelica asked .

"I don't know . I also have to write the same thing ." Kaye said .

"You mean to say the three of us? " Pamela said while placing bondpapers on their respective chairs . " Let's start writing girls.  The sooner we finish , the more time we can spend talking ."

"Yeah , right . " the girls said . Then they started writing .
They were in the middle of writing when Angelica suddenly whispered .
" Do you think we have a mission this week? Well, it's fine with me . It's not my turn yet ."

"What do you mean? It is your turn ." Kaye said .

"Why me? " Angelica asked .

"Because your name was picked last time , remember? " Pamela Joy reminded her .

"Okay . Fine ." Angelica said .
Then they continued writing .

On the other hand , the research team had not checked their page yet . They were still busy doing their school projects and reports . They failed to finish it last time because they had an emergency while Jai Ra was busy practicing her stage performance this coming Friday . Angelie and Arciel were also studying when Arciel's phone rang .
When he looked at the caller , it was Vincent .

"Hey , bro ! What's up? " Arciel asked .
"I'm fine bro. I just have a little favor to ask ." Vincent replied on the other line .
"What favor? "
"I will not be available this weekend . Can you substitute me? "
"Well , I'm the back up. I have no choice but did the research dept. already give a mission? "
"Not yet . "
"I see . Talk to you next time . I need to finish my schoolwork first ." Arciel said then he ended the call .

Days passed quickly . It had been a week since they returned from the forest. The research department finally had time to open their messages. After checking and verifying the message , Mercy called Jyrra .

" Good morning Jy! Are you busy? " Mercy asked .

"Not really Mers . Why? " Jyrra replied.
"I already selected the first mission of mystery club . I called you because I need your assistance in preparing the necessary equipment. "
" Sure . What equipment do you need? "
"I'll just email you the details  . And please don't forget the food . I'm sure they'll feel hungry doing the mission . "
"Oh , no problem . I'll prepare everything before the time ."
"Thank you Jy. I'll call you again later "
"Wait Mers , tell me again the reason why I am assigned in this area and to think I am alone in handling all the things . "

" Because you are  rich ."

Jyrra frowned . " I don't like that answer Mers . "

Jyrra heard a laughter on the other line ." Just kidding Jy . We knew you can handle those kind of things that's why we put you in that position ."
" Okay . That reason is better . I'll accept it ."

"So Jy, do you still have questions? I'm willing to answer it now because later I would be very busy. You can say anything you want to say now. "

"As much as I want to ask you  , I can't think of a question at this moment . "

"It's fine . Let me ask you a question then . Aside from preparing the things , do you have time to accompany  them on their first mission? "

"Why?  Don't you think it's unnecessary? "

" It will be the first official club case . We want to document everything ."

"I get it .You have a point there.  I'll check my schedule but I will not promise. "

"Yey ! Thank you Jy. Bye ." Mercy said .

" Welcome Mers ,bye. " Jyrra replied.

After the call ended, Jyrra immediately  received an email from Mercy . When she opened it , she was taken aback . It wasn't the materials they needed but cute photos of young boy . She smiled looking at the photos . Cute boy , she thought . But why would Mercy send her these photos? She was still thinking when she received another message from Mercy . The content of the  message  was  to prepare for a party- a children's party in particular .

Party?

Jyrra became confused . Why would they prepare for a party?  Their club was only for cases related to the forest issues . Why did they change their club goal? When did they change it?
Argghhhh! Jyrra couldn't think of any good reasons .
She decided to call Mercy but she wouldn't answer. Then she dialed Justine's number , then Melchi but none of them answered her call.  Jyrra threw her phone in frustration. She needed explanation .

She still remembered clearly the purpose of their club . It was to unravel the mystery of the mysterious forest . Did they change it or was it just part of their plan?
