A year ago..........................................
One summer afternoon , Team YOLO started their two-day mountain trip from their school . This group was assigned to research on the life of indigeneous people inhabiting in the mountainous areas of Catacutan . They were very excited while riding on the school bus .
Suddenly , the bus stopped .Justine , one of the members , decided to get off from the bus to check the engine . However , there was nothing wrong with it .
"Yo, Justine, do we have a problem? " asked Jyrra .
"I'm not sure . The engine's fine . " he replied .
So Justine tried to restart the bus again but it's still the same . They got confused. They checked the bus before heading out and it was fine .Nobody inside the bus could explain what's going on.
"Should we call a mechanic ? " Mercy suggested.
But there was no reception.
"Where exactly are we? " asked Pamela .
"I think we're in between two hills and a thick forest ahead of us . " Angelica answered .
Judging from their location , they were sure that telecommunication wasn't possible .The sky was getting dark and the sun was starting to disappear from the horizon .They've decided to stay for the night while they're still fixing their means of transportation . Since they're members of girl scouts and boy scouts , they made tents and wanted to have a big campfire .
" Guys , we have a problem . We don't have enough firewood . "Vincent said .
" That's not a problem . Melchi and I will get a lot of it . " Arciel said
"Be sure the food is ready when we get back . Let's go Arciel . " Melchi added.
As soon as Melchi and Arciel left , the remaining members started to prepare everything .
It was already 6:00 pm. Darkness already engulfed the area . They could hear the sounds of crickets periodically. The breeze was getting colder at the moment . But the boys had not returned yet . They're starting to get worried .
"What took them so long? The trees are just over there! " Angelie said impatiently .
"Calm down. They might be on their way already " Kaye said.
"Okay , fine. If they do not return after 15 minutes , we'll follow them."
They waited impatiently. They kept on glancing the time especially Angelie. Not only Arceil was her friend but also her cousin. She knew Arceil's mom very well. What would she tell her if something bad happens?
Most of them were also thinking of the same thing except for Mercy and Angelica. These girls were optimistic no matter where, when, or what problem they faced.
"Okay. Time's up. Let's divide our group into two." Mercy said.
"Group 1 Angelie , Vincent , Kaye Manell and Angelica while Justine , Jyrra and Pamela will be in my group. First group will find Melchi and Arceil while another group will ask for help." Mercy continued.
"So , how do we decide whose group is going to the forest?" Kaye asked.
"I know. Let's play rock - paper - scissors!" Jyrra suggested.
In the end , Angelica's team went to the forest while Mercy's team seek for help.
The path through the town looked very dark. There were no streetlights in the area, only the light coming from the cellphone. Suddenly , they heard a noise. It felt like someone was watching them.
