"You can see your friend now," the doctor stated, "he's this way." After hours of waiting and pacing, Jun and Minghao were finally able to see their injured classmate. "Hao," Jun tapped a dazed Minghao, "c'mon," he said following the doctor. "Alright," Minghao followed the two into the room. Inside the room was a freshly treated Wonwoo, resting in a hospital bed. "He's in a coma," the doctor stated. "Extreme blunt force trauma to the head caused a contusion," he began, "luckily it wasn't bad enough to need surgery, and there were no internal injuries to the brain and no damage to his mental state." The two Chinese boys were left in shock. "Are there any other injuries?" Jun asked. "Yes," the doctor answered, "lots of bruises on the torso, a rib fracture on his right, and a cut near his eye," he explained causing the two boys to go wide-eyed. "Don't worry, none of the injuries are fatal or life threatening," the doctor assured, "and he should wake up within no longer than two weeks." Jun sighed, "Ahh thank you Dr...." "Hong, Dr. Hong, " the doctor answered. "Ah, thanks Dr. Hong," Jun smiled. "Anytime," Dr. Hong nodded then left the room.
Minghao sighed and ran his fingers through his hair. "You okay Hao?" Jun asked. Minghao sighed again, "Yea, I'm fine" he replied. "You sure-" Jun was interrupted when the door basically flew open. "Hao! Oh my baby are you okay are you hurt why are you here what happened?!" Minghao's aunt bombarded the boy. "I'm fine Auntie Zhoura, it's my classmate that's hurt," Minghao said pointing at Wonwoo, "he was beat up bad so we brought him here," he explained. "Oh my, poor baby," his aunt said covering her mouth. "By the way, didn't your shift end hours ago? How come you're still here?" Minghao asked. "I covered a shift for someone, I was about to leave then a co-worker said 'Hey Zhoura I think I saw your nephew in the emergency room waiting area' then I ran there and they told me you were here-" she answered. "Yup, sounds about right," Jun giggled. "Hey Jun," she smiled. "Auntie~" he cooed. "Hao honey if you want to stay here for the weekend that's fine, I'll make Zhennan watch the kids in the morning," Minghao's aunt placed her hand on his shoulder. "I'm fine auntie, I don't need to stay here the whole weekend," he assured. "Then spend the weekend at Jun's," she suggested. "What-" Minghao tilted his head in confusion. "Hao honey," she then placed both hands on his shoulder, "you need a break." "A break from what-" he was even more confused. "Hao, honey, if we were to all go out in public, people would think you were the parent-" she chuckled a bit. "I-" Minghao was left speechless. "She's not wrong..." Jun agreed. "See? You work so hard to help me and your mom you don't have time to be a normal teen," Zhoura sighed. "But I-" Minghao was interrupted by his aunt. "No buts. Now, I'm reverse grounding you," she sighed again. "Eh?!" Minghao was as confused as ever. "You're not allowed into the house until you come home from school on Monday," she stated. "Wait but-" Minghao was interrupted once again. "Huh? Wah? Sorry honey I can't hear you! I love you bye!" she said walking out of the room. "I've been kick out of my own home-" Minghao stared in confusion. "You still have mine," Jun smiled.

"Are you sure it's safe to go through the front?" Minghao asked in concern. "Yea the little ones are out with Sue Su. The twins are at a friends and Chenle went with Kun to his night class. Mom's out of town on business and Dad stayed late at the office," Jun explained. "What about your uncle," Minghao questioned. "I've told you many times, he can be trusted, he's no snitch," Jun assured. "Mhm," Minghao was unsure but still went along with it.
Jun pulled out his keys and carefully unlocked the door. He gently pushed it open, lightly stepped into the house and shut the door softly as possible. He then let out a sigh of relief before he walked towards the stairs.
"Wen Junhui, to my office please," Jun's father's voice filled the house from the speaker, "and bring your little visitor too." "F*ck," Jun whispered in frustration. "Busted," Minghao said , not surprised nor bothered. They walked off of the stairs and made their to Jun's father's home office.
"Thought I was at the office didn't you," his father sighed. Jun didn't say a word, neither did Minghao, they both just stood there in silence. "You know what's going to happen right?" his father asked. "Your gonna tell mom, she's gonna sh*t talk Hao again and lecture me on why he's not allowed here again, then she's gonna beat me with the pipe, again, and lock me in the basement for a month. Again," Jun said with a slight attitude. Minghao stood there, feeling guilty and also concerned for what might happen to his best friend. "No," Jun's father replied, leaving both boys confused and shocked, "we're gonna save both of our asses and not say a word." "Huh?!" Jun was ultimately confused. "Eh?" Minghao was confused as well. Just then Jun's father pulled off a mask revealing it was actually his Uncle Jiacheng. Jun began laughing while Minghao became annoyed. "I make a pretty good Ju Xiang huh," Jiacheng chuckled. "Bro I almost pissed my pants that is not funny," Jun chuckled as well. "I hate it here," Minghao was beyond annoyed. "Where did you even get that?" Jun asked. "More like how did I make it," Jiacheng smirked. "You made that?" Minghao eyes widened. Jiacheng hummed and nodded his head yes. "As expected of my creative uncle," Jun bragged. "Yea yea, now let's get out of here before someone comes home," Jiacheng said as he got up from his brother's desk and walk out of the office. The two boys followed him out and then made their way to Jun's room.
"See, I told you. He's not like the rest of the family," Jun patted Minghao's head. "Don't pat me," Minghao said in an annoyed tone, "and I just don't want you to get in trouble because of me....again," he looked down. "It's alright, I don't mind a little punishment," Jun smiled. "Jun your punishments are worse than the one they give to prisoners," Minghao stated and Jun just laughed. Just then they heard a faint "We're home!" followed by little laughs and giggles. "The little ones are back," Jun sighed. "I wanna see Jia Lin," Minghao pouted. "Then let's go see her," Jun grinned. Minghao eyes lit up with joy as Jun pressed a button on his wall, creating an opening in the floor and revealing a tunnel. "Youngest first," Jun said, letting Minghao slide down first before sliding down himself. The two pass through the curtain that covered the hole the slid out of and landed on the floor creating a slight thud. "Ow," Jun groaned as he knocked into Minghao's back when landing on the floor. "Shh," Minghao quieted the latter as he pointed to Jiacheng who was holding a squirming Jia Lin in his arms. And they weren't alone.
