-The Night of The Kyuubi Attack-

"Lord Hokage, you have two healthy baby boys and one beautiful girl," Biwako -the midwife and the Third's wife- said, a warm smile on her face. "Aren't they adorable!" a sweaty and tired looking Kushina exclaimed, almost as if she were somehow re-energized. They were to name their first born boy with dark red hair Menma whilst the girl with lighter red hair Mito, and finally the youngest, who had blonde hair with red tips, Naruto. Nothing could go wrong for the Yondaime Hokage.

Oh if only he knew!!!

Suddenly Biwako's body fell with a thud and a man wearing a mask was holding little naruto. "Unless you want this child to die on his day of birth you will stay away from the jinchuriki, Fourth Hokage."

Minato, however, does the opposite. Silently creating a shadow clone, he sends it to Menma and Mito. "I need to make sure they stay safe," he thinks to himself.

"I see you will not listen. Oh well then. Goodbye child," he said, lifting Naruto up into the air ready to strike him. In a flash, though, Naruto was safe in Minato's arms. At least temporarily. A sissling sound followed shortly by a "Kai" and Minato was slowly beginning to hate October 10TH. In no time the paper bomb around Naruto's blanket began to glow.

Minato quickly hiraishined to his safehouse, where he threw the blanket before flashing to his pre-made shadow clone, which had just explained the events of the night to Hiruzen, Konoha's Third Hokage.
"Minato you can't really believe your plan will work. I understand you want to seal the Kyuubi's chakra into two of your children but they are still too young to handle that demon's chakra. Wouldn't it be better to separate the soul from the chakra if you are planning on using 'that' seal?"

"And let all of my children bare such a burden! No! I can't! And sealing the Kyuubi's soul in one of them! We don't know what could happen." Minato replied

"I am only trying to help you Minato. I don't like this better than you do. But what other choice do we have. Somehow, this masked man was able to penetrate Konoha's defenses, find out where Kushina was to give birth, get through your barrier and kill multiple anbu level shinobi. He could pose to be a threat.

By separating the Kyuubi's chakra from the soul, you are ensuring that whoever you seal the chakra into will have full control over it. Without the Fox's influence." Hiruzen argued, also trying to convince himself that what he was saying was right. Though he couldn't shake the feeling of guilt budding in his chest.  

"Your right, let's do this," Minato replied."Okay, Lord Hiruzen, get the children ready for the sealing -" he was interrupted. BOOM. which meant that it was too late. The seal had been broken. The village of Konoha was now under attack. The Kyuubi rampaged destroying buildings with ease until it began powering up a Bijuu Bomb. In no time most of the village was destroyed and the Kyuubi was powering up another Bijuu Bomb but before this one could hit it disappeared. The shinobi looked up to see the Fourth Hokage atop a giant Toad that was on top of the ninetails and then they were gone.

-Timeskip to when he begins the Reaper Death Seal- 

Minato was about to begin when he was knocked out by Hiruzen. "I am sorry Minato but you are still too young to have to die. I always saw you as my son and so it would break my heart to hear watch you die. I hope you forgive me," Hiruzen said as he sealed the ninetails chakra in Menma and Mito and finally the soul in Naruto. "Child I hope you are loved and seen as the hero you are," he said as the reaper began to extract his soul. Then the reaper muttered something that broke the Old Man's heart," Ouy evah denmednoc a dlihc ot lleh"  as it laughed a laugh that was akin to evil incarnate. When Minato woke up he could only grieve as he saw his father-figure dead near Naruto.

His heart hardened as he watched the blonde child develop something that looked like whisker marks on his face. He knew the evil soul that lurked in that boy's heart. 'This thing is no child of mine,'  he thought as he looked and the child with pure hatred and disgust.

A/N: I know in cannon Naruto was born with the whisker marks but over hear I decided to have him get them after the soul of the KYUUBI was sealed in him. Also I have another book called Naruto of the tailed beast so read the first part of it later. I also have nothing against Minato and Kushina.
