Naruto: The Heartless Fox

Chapter 3

- Six months later-
Minato's POV

In the six months that I have known Fox, I can tell he is an amazing shinobi. Not only is he powerful but he is also very loyal and humble. Although you can never tell what mood he is in for Fox hides his emotions in a way that would put any Uchiha to shame. Seriously, I had to call in Fugaku and even Crow, Itachi, for them to confirm that he is not an Uchiha. Well, I figured that much because of his blonde hair and blue eyes, but there is a first time for everything.

Last month he apprehended a follower of Orochimaru's who apparently is after my son, Menma for the ninetails chakra. I guess that it was a good idea for me to introduce him to Team Ro after Kakashi/Inu decided to resign as Anbu captain to focus on his 'relationship' with Anko. Well, I can't call it a relationship, more like Anko trying to get him out of his depression and trying to get his reading of my sensei's book under control.

Anywho, Fox is the youngest Anbu captain in history and I have to say I am suspicious of his true identity. Heck the council has been pressuring me to ask him to remove his mask during meetings but I have to respect that he will show us when we are ready. Anyway, the attack on my Menma a few months ago has had me on edge. I don't know if Orochimaru is planning another attack. Worst of all the heirs to some of the noble clans are going to be joining the academy. My gut tells me to be weary of most of the teachers in the school especially Mizuki, he hasn't been the same since that night 'Kyuubi attack' but to be fair none of us has been the same since then.

Worst of all the 'ninetails brat' survived our Attack and I have a feeling it has something to do with the Kyuubi so I decided to send him back to the Academy. I was interrupted when Fox entered saying "Hokage-sama, you requested me." I looked at him, "Yes Fox, in the months I have known you you have proven how loyal you are to the Leaf and so I have a vital mission for you. You are to enter the Academy to protect my children and the other clan heirs, you are also to keep an eye out for any possible spies for Orochimaru. Lastly you are to keep an eye on Naruto Uzumaki for we fear he has possibly lost control, you are the only one I can trust with this, you are also about their age so it will draw less attention, do you accept?" he asked.

"Yes Hokage-sama," Fox replied. "Okay, but may I ask if you will show me your identity?" he asked while rubbing the back of his head. "When the time comes but as of now I will keep that to myself," Fox replied coldly and devoid of any emotion like he usually does. "I understand," Minato replied he said while smiling sheepishly.

-Timeskip, One week before the genin exams-

"Hokage-sama," Fox said ," I have come to report everything that has taken place for the last three and a half years, Firstly Mizuki is indeed a traitor to the leaf, Secondly, Although very gifted Menma and Mito have been unable to control their chakra partly because I believe the Kyuubi chakra is unsettled and without the soul to keep it in check it is running wild and also it is slowly but surely depleting for reason I don't fully know, and Lastly I have confirmed that Naruto Uzumaki has been in contact with the Kyuubi but for reasons unknown he does not seem to be plotting for the downfall of the leaf, he is also seems to show signs of depression and also seems to have lost all emotions for when he is attacked, scolded and beaten he doesn't even wince in pain, he also has an injury in his left eye which is why he cover it with an eyepatch, other than that he shows no signs of attacking the leaf and sits at the very back of the class alone, nothing more to report."

'After all that torture and pain and he still shows loyalty to the leaf, could I have been wrong about Naruto,I will have to talk to Kushina about this later,' Minato thought. "Okay Fox you are dismissed," "Hai, Hokage-sama."

-Next Day at school-

"Naruto wake up you, you have to pass the exam, do you really wanna repeat for the third year," Iruka Umino, the teacher, said hint of worry in his speech. "Yeah you demon get up, seriously you've been here three year and all you do is sleep, what a baka!!!" Menma said. "Now now settle down class and Menma don't be mean, you've been here three time too," Iruka stated. "That's only because the demon here has been doing something to mess up my chakra, it's his fault ughh!!!, just crawl in a ditch and die." "Yeah just go away you Baka!!!" Mito joined in.

Right before Iruka could settle them down a Fuma Shuriken was seen heading straight for him. He ducked in time and that was when we saw Mizuki holding the scroll of sealing. "Well hello Iruka, sorry had to shake of the Anbu that were chasing me, it would have been so much easier if you hadn't ducked, oh well," he then disappeared and reappeared holding Menma," Orochimaru said he needed you for some experiment or something socome with me and I wont kill you." "Mizuki how could you do this I thought you were my friend, why, WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS!!!!" Iruka yelled.

"Oh you know why Iruka, after that night I lost everything and everyone and its all his fault *points to Naruto* you know what I am just going to kill you before I head out, *throws Fuma Shuriken* this is for that night!!!!!!". Iruka tries to jump and save Naruto from it but he knew he wouln't make it.

Suddenly the shuriken disappears and is seen on the ground an inch from Naruto who was going through multiple handseals. When he finished his right arm was glowing, blue chakra in the shape of a fox head then Naruto runs to Mizuki punching himin the chest, a large hole there as Naruto says ," Ninja Art: Fox Hunt!!!"  then he picks up Mizuki's dead body and the scroll and shunshins to the Hokage Tower leaving behind a shocked Iruka and a gagging Menma as he just witnessed the murder of a teacher by the supposed 'deadlast'. Everyone in the class were wondering the same thing 'how the hell did that Baka/Demon/Deadlast do that'.

Naruto appeared in the middle of a council meeting discussing the betrayal of Mizuki. As soon as he appeared the civilian members of the council got up shocked to see the 'demon' holding the body of mizuki in one very bloody hand and the scroll of sealing in another. Immediately the Anbu in the room were beside Naruto, Kunai to his throat, yet he didn't even flinch. Then he set Mizuki down and quickly started saying ,"Hokage-sama, Mizuki was a traitor to the leaf and came into the classroom where he threatened the life of Menma-sama, although I didn't want to break cover so soon my mission entailed protecting Menma-sama as a priority explaining why I broke cover.....Anbu captain Fox reporting for duty," Naruto said coldly and emotionlessly.

"What," Mebuki ,a member of the civilian council exclaimed," there is no way the 'demon scum' is the most loyal member of the Anbu!!!!" she exclaimed. Even the Anbu there where shaken by the words that came from the child's mouth. "Quite contrary, he is, I should know, I recommended and trained him," Danzo said a sadistic smirk on his lips, " fox, you are excused for the day.""Hai Danzo-sama," and with that he was gone as if he never existed. "Now should we continue with the meeting," Danzo said.

"Y-yes let's ccc-continue," Minato said, an astonished look on his face, in his mind he was screaming ' how is this possible, the one person shinobi I had my full trust in was Naruto, how, how could this happen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!."
