Days continued to pass as I trained hard and faster. I didn't really have time to rest because Eros kept talking to me about the different creatures that could be lurking around the house, just waiting for their time to snatch me or attack me. I understand that his heart was in the right place but I was honestly exhausted and needed some major R&R. He told me that I had to persevere because if I didn't, I would end up a dead Princess. I'm sure you could imagine the face I made when he said that.
I was horrified. But, what was great about training with Eros was that since I was getting my butt kicked in tactics that he would help mold my powers. Which I thought was awesome because they would help me to save my life if I needed to save my life, that is.
"I needed to concentrate Luna." Eros snapped me out of my daze, quite literally. He had snapped his fingers so many times in front of my face, I gained a blinking spasm.
"Sorry Eros." I said with an apologetic smile.
"As I was saying." He cleared his throat. "It's important that you tune into your emotions and tell your body what you want for it to do. For example, if you want to spit hard snow balls at the dummy, you have to feel the anger inside of you, put your hands out to the direction of the dummy, and tell it to weld the snow from your palms out. Or if you want to cast a snow cyclone, you need to feel the rage and throw your arms up from the ground up and imagine it sucking up the person. Or if you want to throw ice crystals at the dummy, you must feel desire, desire to do what must be done. Are you understanding?"
I nodded. Ice crystals were meant to physically harm or kill another life. Which I wouldn't need to do unless it was under extreme circumstances.
"Okay, then try." He simply said with arms crossed over each other.
"What right now?" I was stunned. "I'm not even angry or anything!" I retorted.
"Luna, you have to practice. If you do not, when you need your powers the most, they won't happen for you. So please, just try."
I sighed, groaning. "Fine." I closed my eyes and imagined snow balls forming in my hand and pushed my arms out. 'Form snow balls.' I told myself. I opened my eyes but nothing happened. I groaned, trying to do it with my eyes open. Nothing.
I tried a couple more times, getting frustrated. I then tried to encompass the other things Eros was telling me, like the Snow Cyclone, and the ice crystals but nothing was working. After the 500th try I exhaustedly plopped to the floor.
"Okay, I think we're done for the day. Why don't you head up and get yourself together before dinner."
Eros seemed a little frustrated. I was frustrated as well. There had to be a way to find some rage in me, something but I wasn't a very mad person.
I got up from the ground and headed to my room and grabbed a towel and some clothes. I was about to leave the room when I heard a knock at my door.
"Who is it?"
"Your mate." Roman said in a sing song voice.
I smiled and opened the door. "Hey babe."
"Come with me, I have a surprise for you."
I laughed and followed him. He led me to the bathroom door where I was about to go in the first place.
"Uh Roman, how did you know that I was going to take a shower?"
"I didn't, but I thought you needed to relax." He said as he opened the door.
I gasped. There were rose petals everywhere. The bathtub was lined up with candles and the lights were dimmed. Roman then pulled out a cassette tape and pressed play. The music was very spa like for relaxation.
